It does not make any sense that there was a big bang....and a planet formed just the right distance from the sun...not too hot...not too cold....somehow.....and it SOMEHOW has oxygen ....and something crawled out of the muck and somehow became a monkey which somehow being a human.....and actually...how did this big bang end up creating humans that can have two sexes...and the male sends sperm?... ...actually how could there be sperm? ...who created that?....anyway this sperm from the cosmic big bang theory is sent from the male human and it fertilizes the female human....and amazingly she has a womb....and 9 months or so later a baby human is born? That all of this came from a big bang seems so ridiculous.
Do you know how complex is the human body? How amazing it is? How could we....and the animals.....and the natural beauty all exist unless there was a CREATOR?
To think otherwise is just because people want THEMSELVES to be the god of their lives. They don't want to be accountable to their actual creator.

You should've posted this on the religion board! I missed it!

Anyway... do you know where the term "big bang" comes from? From the fact that the universe is expanding in all directions, and planets/galaxies are moving further apart from each other, as if something exploded and sent debris in all directions . You could actually see this, if you wanted to see it, with a telescope and a couple gadgets.

The distance from Sun... that argument comes in many forms.. I think the most popular is the "pair of dice proves god" argument. If you just take the one Sun and the one planet Earth, yeah, it may seem improbable, but that completely ignores the fact that, at any given moment in time, there are billions of suns with trillions of planets revolving around them across the universe (an estimated 200-400 billion in the Milky Way alone)... it also completely ignores the billions of suns that have died and the trillions of planets that died with them.

For the record, humans didn't come from monkeys. Different branch. The creation of life, that's a different theory altogether.

You don't explicitly mention it, but you are talking about intelligent design, or creationism in a lab coat, as we call it. I'll tell you, from an engineering perspective, design and engineering are 2 different things, and what you call intelligent design, no human engineer worth his salt would design such a mess of a system, and implement it/engineer it that way... the number of single points of failure alone! Through science, humans have overcome the many flaws in the "design". Child birth alone, think about this: according to WHO, just in the last quarter century, childbirth mortality rates have dropped 43%. Can you imagine the childbirth mortality rate 1000 years ago? 2000 years ago? Not so long ago in the history of humans, many people died from simple tooth infections.

As for what the Bible says, the Bible says a lot of things, but so do other holy books of other religions. I usually bring up Hinduism, since they have the most extensive set of scriptures that say who created the universe, the world, humans, etc...they have their own prophets, and miracles, and whatnot. But you obviously don't believe in Brahma, or Ganesha... if you were born in India, you'd probably would.

And I don't want to be god. I just don't see how anyone can study religions and human development, and I don't mean catechism or Sunday school, I mean from a historical and anthropological view, and rationally believe that gods exist. You already dismiss all of the other 1000's of gods depicted in recorded history. Why should I not dismiss yours?

Speaking of the Bible, and Vedas, and whatnot; since you brought up this "renown scientist" and intelligent design an DNA: this is a question that I ask but no one ever answers me:

Based on holy scriptures and agreed upon DNA evidence, which god is most likely to have created humans?

    1) Yahweh/Jesus/Allah (Abrahamic, they all are based on Genesis)
    2) Prometheus
    3 Kukulcan
