Some people from the left, right, center, above and below said that Palin was responsible. Most of the people from the left, right, center, above and below said those people were out of line. Most of the people from the left, right, center, above and below said Palin wasn't responsible, but the way she spoke contributed to an environment that made the kind of thing that happened more likely to occur.

The last part is simple truth, but you are correct it doesn't mean they directly have blood on their hands for the violence that someone else commits. It does mean they shouldn't be saying the things they say and that that are individually responsible for helping to create a environment in which violent things are more likely to happen.

I'm gonna give you my conspiracy theory.

There is no way someone should be able to get on a roof with a line of sight to a nominee.

The SS was heavily invovled in the Trump coup. They even deleted their own text messages off their internal server to not be implicated.

My theory is they gave Trump all his toadies for protection, and they suck at it.

There were reports throughout Trump's term that Trump's personal security often got into territorial pissing matches with Trump's SS detail which caused security issues. That's while Trump was president. I imagine that Trump's personal security is creating even more problems for Trump's SS detail than before which lead to this massive oversight. No one should have had any opportunity to get on any roof within the range of any firearm to Trump.

This is why Trump didn’t get hit with a bullet. His ear would be gone. It was a shard of glass from the teleprompter evidently. We got lucky as a nation today.

That's the first video and the only one I will watch. I noticed that as security was trying to safely usher Trump off the stage, Trump resisted and pumped his fist to the audience and camera while shouting, "fight, fight, fight." Trump's going to use this to incite more violence, while pretending that he's not.

As we get closer to the election, if Trump's internal data shows he has a decent chance of losing, the I have zero doubts he will try to incite violence to disrupt voting. That's how Trump rolls.

Okay. But I still maintain that his ear would be far more damaged by a bullet. Maybe it was a bit of shrapnel if one of the bullets hit the metal riser or something. I’m sure we will hear about it eventually.

A bullet may have just barely grazed Trump which have just scraped or nicked him. Whatever hit him seems to have been traveling in a more parallel path to Trump's head than an intersecting path, otherwise he would likely have been more seriously injured. If it was a bullet that grazed him, just a half inch to the side could have been fatal for Trump.

Isn’t that the allure and reason companies advertise on social media? They use your own data to get your eyeballs on products curated just for them?

The guns are almost always legally obtained and owned. Usually, the murderer was a law abiding person up to the point they committed the murder. In the rare instances the murderer was a known law breaker, they were still legally owned the murder weapon they used. Why do we allow people we know aren't law abiding to legally own firearms? Because the Supreme Court and Republicans let them legally own guns, that's why.

I personally don't even care if they requested. Hypothetically, Trump in 2016 had 50 SS agents as a detail, and so did Biden in 2020. If Trump in 2024 also had 50. It's a non-story.
