I was looking for a place to put this so we could discuss but didn't really find a place that worked so I created this thread so we can all place articles, experiences, videos and examples of racism in the USA.

This is one that happened this week. The lady even called and filed a complaint on the officer. This officer also chose to wear the body cam (apparently, LA doesn't require this yet). This exchange wasn't necessarily racist IMO until she started with the "mexican racist...you will never be white, like you want" garbage. That is when it turned racist IMO

All the murderer and other insults, I think are just a by product of CRT and ACAB rhetoric that is very common on the radical left and sadly is being brought to mainstream in this country.

Another point that I think is worth mentioning is she is a teacher and the sense of entitlement she feels is mind blowing.

The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office has filed a civil complaint against a former police officer who is accused of violently attacking a Black banking executive outside a diner last year in what officials say was a racially motivated incident.

In November 2023, Mamadou Dembele, a 49-year-old Black man, entered Gilley’s Diner in Portsmouth to pick up a take-out order after spending time in a cigar bar.

Inside the restaurant, he came into contact with former Portsmouth Police Officer Aaron Goodwin, 45, his brother, Kevin, 42, and sister-in-law Shannon, 38, all of whom are white.

After noticing Dembele’s accent, Shannon asked the man where he was from. He replied: “Africa.” Kevin reportedly called the man a “moron,” adding that Africa was a continent not a country. Dembele didn’t respond, the complaint states.

The former officer apparently then told Dembele he smelled bad. Dembele told him that he had come from a cigar bar and handed the man a cigar he had purchased earlier that night.

Kevin Goodwin then became angry, the complaint states, and asked his brother why he was speaking to a “f****** moron,” stating Dembele was “too poor to afford a good cigar.”

Kevin said the cigar was a “blunt,” explaining to the group that is “when Black people mix tobacco with marijuana and smoke it.”

Dembele did not respond. The Goodwins soon left with their food.

Dembele, too, took his food and exited the restaurant. He then encountered the group in the parking lot, security footage shows. Kevin Goodwin reportedly spotted Dembele and told him to leave.

At that point, Dembele asked the man what his problem was, the filing states. Shannon then started shouting at him and allegedly called him a racial slur.

Dembele continued to ask what was wrong and told the group he had done nothing to them. As the confrontation escalated, two young men, one Black and one Asian, entered the parking lot and were walking up the stairs to the restaurant when they noticed the exchange.

As they watched, Shannon, court filings state, began berating them and calling them racial slurs. She then became so aggressive with Dembele she needed to be physically restrained, the documents state.

Aaron then approached Dembele and pulled him to the ground using the back of his shirt, security footage shows. Dembele’s head hit the ground, causing him to temporarily lose consciousness.……..

Walmart is cutting back its diversity programs after a conservative activist threatened to call a boycott days before Black Friday.

Robby Starbuck, a former music video director who campaigns against corporate diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, said on Monday that he had persuaded the US retail giant to end a raft of "woke policies" such as providing racial equity training to its workers and funding anti-racist non-profits.

The company will review all funding for LGBT+ Pride events, remove all "transgender products" marketed to children from its stores, and stop participating in the Human Rights Council's LGBT+ equality index.

It will also stop using the terms "DEI" and "LatinX" in official communications and stop requiring its suppliers to provide "certain demographic data" as part of its supplier diversity program.

The Arkansas-based retailer will review grants to Pride events to make sure it is not financially supporting sexualized content targeting kids. For example, the company wants to makes sure a family pavilion is not next to a drag show at a Pride event, the company told the Associated Press. The company said it will no longer consider race and gender as a way to increase diversity when it offers supplier contracts.…….

A white Kansas police detective accused of sexually assaulting Black women and girls and terrorizing those who tried to fight back is about to go on federal trial, part of a tangle of cases tied to decades of alleged abuse.

Prosecutors say female residents of poor neighborhoods in Kansas City, Kansas, feared that if they crossed paths with Roger Golubski, he'd demand sexual favors and threaten to harm or jail their relatives. He is charged with six felony counts of violating women's civil rights, and jury selection in his trial is set to begin Monday in a federal courthouse in Topeka.

The case has outraged the community and deepened the historical distrust of law enforcement, often seen as being more heavy-handed in predominately Black neighborhoods. The prosecution follows earlier reports of similar abuse allegations across the country where hundreds of officers have lost their badges after allegations of sexual assaults.

Golubski, now 71, is accused of sexually assaulting one woman starting when she was barely a teenager and another after her sons were arrested. If a jury convicts him, he could die in prison.

The trial is the latest in a string of lawsuits and criminal allegations that has led the county prosecutor's office to begin a $1.7 million effort to reexamine cases Golubski worked on during his 35 years on the force. One double murder case Golubski investigated already has resulted in an exoneration, and an organization run by rapper Jay-Z is suing to obtain police records.

Golubski has pleaded not guilty, and his attorney has said that lawsuits over the allegations are an "inspiration for fabrication" by his accusers. But prosecutors said that, along with the two women whose accounts are the heart of the criminal case, seven others will testify that Golubski abused or harassed them.…….

Maboula Soumahoro is a renowned French scholar and public intellectual. The holder of a PhD earned through studies both in France and at Columbia University in the US, she is an associate professor at the University of Tours, a specialist on the African diaspora, and one of France’s foremost academics when it comes to race relations.

So when the European parliament decided to invite her to an internal event last month as part of a dialogue to discuss ways to “promote equality and inclusion in the workplace”, it made perfect sense.

But the event never happened. First, the French far-right MEP Mathilde Androuët wrote to Roberta Metsola, the president of the parliament, seeking the cancellation of the event on the basis that Soumahoro had made statements with racist undertones and casting doubt on her expertise.

Then the French far-right MEP, Marion Maréchal, formerly a member of the National Rally, led by her aunt, Marine Le Pen, weighed in, stepping up the pressure with a post on X that denounced Soumahoro in even more forceful terms as “an anti-White speaker”.

Maréchal’s criticisms would be laughable if they had not been so successful. In less than 24 hours the far right had, according to the French news organisation Mediapart, managed to have the event cancelled.

Officially the European parliament said the event was being postponed until an unknown date, but the far right has already claimed this as a “first victory”.

The accusations levelled at Soumahoro by Maréchal and her followers have been rebutted by the academic as an “unspeakable aggression”, a “violation” of her intellectual arguments and a distortion of the very meaning of racism.

They have also been debunked in some detail by Mediapart: they simply do not hold up to scrutiny.

Maréchal accused Soumahoro of being part of a “radical and provocative ideological fringe”, because she “promoted the concept of ‘racial burden’”, and endorsed the “conspiracy theory” of “white privilege”.

Another of the complaints is that in 2016 she took part in a summer camp devoted to decolonialism and that this was allegedly “forbidden to whites”.

Soumahoro has indeed theorised on the “burden of race”. This refers simply to what anyone who is not white has to face daily in societies not built to include them, and in which they constantly face discrimination.

White people are privileged in not having to handle systemic racism. The allegedly racist summer camp was intended for people who personally face racism. Obviously this means people of colour……
