Man, it's a good thing we've been working real hard to make other countries like us more, and are presenting ourselves like responsible, reliable partners.
Just a reminder… from the US Holocaust museum:
"What distinguishes a concentration camp from a prison (in the modern sense) is that it functions outside of a judicial system. The prisoners are not indicted or convicted of any crime by judicial process."
Just in case anyone is curious...
I know, I'm going out on a limb here.
But usually there has been some legal theory to most of the administration's attempts. I disagree with most of them, but I'm also ok with different interpretations of the law and letting that play out through the courts. I just haven't seen one with this.

If this run up continues to get us close to our previous highs I'll probably sell off again - unless I think we're on a more stable predictable path. The previous system we had was close to optimal for corporate profits, so deviation from it is likely to be harmful in the short term, which will...
It's wishful thinking right now that the fed would do an emergency rate cut. They still don't know the long term effects of this tariff insanity... if they stick we'll have slower growth (or negative growth) and higher inflation. And they'll need to decide what they'll tackle first.
Yeah, I expect that we have further to go down, but I don't know where it is... and I'm ok with just taking the sure thing. Technically what I did was "dumb" b/c timing the market is tough... but it was so frothy and Trump is a guarantee volatility maker, I figured it was ok.I wouldn't be...
so, i had moved almost my entire portfolio to cash a couple weeks ago (i had mentioned it here). I'm probably going to push it back in now. If tariffs stick long term, the market will decline further, but if they do get lifted soon, this is probably close to the bottom.. i generally don't go...
