I fear we are really going to be in a bad place due to the obvious cuts to the federal agencies that deal with infectious disease, but also the negative effect the Affordable Care act has had on non urban hospitals. Our front line defenses are ineffectual and our ability to treat the populous is probably at an all time low. Factor in the cost of healthcare and I can see our system crashing. What do you think about the politics of this virus?

Is that supposed to be funny or are you trying to imply that all the conspiracy theories about over-stating deaths is comical?

If you can't figure out something this simple for yourself, perhaps this is not the board for you.

I just wanted to say RIP Olesya Suspitsyn.

Does this count as a coronavirus death?

In Turkey, Kazakh native Olesya Suspitsyna perished in front of her female friend who was taking the photograph in the tourist city of Antalya in the south-west of the country.

The incident occurred on Sunday after the government lifted the coronavirus quarantine in the city.

So you just hunt up world wide articles to make a point.

You really are not making one because people die all the time trying to take that great Instagram pic.

So your same logic is everyone who dies while doing something stupid is getting counted?

It is real obvious that the counter is not taking all into coronavirus deaths.

Let's try and defend your beloved administration and their lack of action rather than try a stir up crap for a change.

What you think got your big boy pants on today?

In Tennessee alone 4,000 hospital workers are not working and hospitals have lost $1 billion.

That's absolutely the health cost that some want to overlook. Every single medical professional who I know is either looking at being furloughed, they have gone from getting overtime to being part time or their practice is tanking.

Of course on the patient side, people are either forgoing treatment, having telephonic visits, not getting tests they ordinarily would.

This narrative that if one is for lifting restrictions that person cares less about people is simplistic to the point of being childish.

Talking about someone in third person, as though they cannot read what you're saying, is rude and gossipy in a junior high school school girlish sort of way. Have a great weekend!

To be fair, you have a habit of dodging, ducking, dipping, diving, and dodging so much when you are addressed directly that Patches O'Houlihan thinks you could be an all star.

I don't understand undermining basic biology

It's all a big hoopla until it hits you or someone you know

    Holy crap:

My God that tells you a great deal right there.

Has to do his own leg work to make it all happen then guard it with guns so your uncle that could not do the job doesn't swipe it.

My God we live in sad times.

I have lived in MD for over 30 years now. Hogan is a moderate Republican, considered to be a centrist by most. He has a high approval rating in an overwhelmingly Democrat state.

He has a high approval rating because he is reasonable, respected, and is able to work with those pesky Democrats pretty darn well.

As a democrat, I really feel we are luck to have him as our governor because he acts like a real leader should and he genuinely cares about the folks that live in MD.

We need more Larry Hogans in this country, while I don't agree with some of his stances/policies, if he ran as president I would have to seriously consider voting for him.....

If they go to the beach will they be re-arrested?

That reminds me, New York released a rapist for the same "reason," and you'll never guess what happened next.

Okay, I will save you the suspense - 10 days later he raped again.

    Color me surprised.
Perhaps we can get some good Samaritan’s to take these folks in California to the beach?

    Holy crap:

Who’s jurisdiction does the National Guard fall under?

If the federal government decided that it wanted those tests can they order someone to disclose the location?

Can they be ordered by someone on the National level to stop guarding them?

Today a client told us their 90 year old grandmother died in a nursing home.

That's close enough, but with the way things are going the tide is about to turn and we're going to be in for a huge increase in cases.
