Even got Kura Murza ( big opponent of Putin- attempted poisoning years ago by FSB )

Go ahead Republicans- roll around in the muck with your candidate. Dont ask me to hose you off when done.

No "welcome home". No "glad to see our Americans free". Nope.

Now lest we forget that this is the SAME TRUMP that released 5000 Taliban prisoners for???? NUH THING.

Families of those still be held are starting to speak out. It sucks they're going through this, but don't make it seem like the government doesn't care.

This particular case, he worked and lived in Russia since 2012.

Arrested in 2021 while returning to Russia ( taught at an Anglo Univesity in Moscow) possessing weed.

So you worked and lived in Russia for 9 years and didn't know the laws on weed and their ever-fervent attitude to imprison westerners for some made up charge? Stop it.

I think it's dumb he sentenced to 14 years for weed, and I bet this public announcement is to put pressure on administration

Ohhhh, well then...now I get the angle.

I wish the guy would have been included in the swap, but if that's true it would have even been better if Biden could have gotten him released. That way they'd have to spend their lives feeling indebted to Biden.

It wasn't like they didn't try. Kirby mentioned him by name in the press conference.

Oh, I know. I wasn't saying they didn't. Prisoner swaps are difficult and take unexpected turns.

I'm amazed and surprised they were able to pull this off, especially after Navalny's murder. But that's what good administrations are able to do.
