Yeah, it’s pretty bad out there too. MAGA thinks it was a hit from the Biden Admin, and the fringe Dems think it was a set-up. There really aren’t all that many of the “it was a set-up” Dems, though it’s more than I would like to see. MAGA is breathlessly up to 3 shooters at this point last I looked.

Every time we get more details it sounds worse. It's hard to think all these huge mistakes, errors, etc was just due to incompetence.

Nope, but there are so many huge mistakes that it's hard to believe it was just incompetence. Hopefully it was just incompetence.

If it wasn’t shrapnel, then I would tend to believe Dave’s theory about damage from the bullet passing close by. At his last 2 appearances there isn’t any visible damage to his ear, nothing.

So what happened was he got hit by a bullet, but it barely nicked his ear. Not sure why there was so much blood, unless he's on blood thinners.

Honestly, from a lab person’s perspective I didn’t think there was much blood at all. Didn’t even run down onto his white shirt and seemed to have already stopped flowing by the time he left the stage. I’ve seen a whole lot more blood than that from a head wound.

Without little pieces of toilet paper, I'd have had more blood on my head every time I shaved with a bladed razor.

I mean, yeah, I've seen a lot more from a head wound. The scalp will bleed a ton when cut. That said, the outer ear doesn't have all that many blood vessels, so a nick on the ear won't bleed much. I mean, when you peirce your ear, you'll rarely see much blood. I think it was a real cut. How much of a cut, who knows.

That said, bullet passing close enough is definitely gonna cause damage to the ear and the amount of bleeding is about what you'd expect from a minor tearing of the skin on the outer ear. There was enough blood to show that he was injured. It dripped down several spots on his face and clearly the reason he didn't get much on his shirt was because of the way he was hunched over and the blood ran across his face rather than down his neck.

I'm just not understanding why we're minimizing him damn near getting assassinated though. The blind hatred for Trump shouldn't get in the way of what actually happened here. And yeah, I can't stand him and will never vote for him, but you still should call a spade a spade.

I don't think thats what's happening. I think it's just being pointed out that Trump is making claims that he isn't providing full disclosure for. I don't think anyone denies someone tried to kill him and came close to doing it.

He can make all the claims he wants, that not gonna change what happened. We already know he loves to exaggerate and this is no exception. We all know what he is and view of what happened is worth diddly poo. I just think it's not really worth spending too much time on. Save our energy for meaningful stuff. His take on what happened isn't meaningful at all.
