Assassination attempt on Trump (6 Viewers)

Really? This would be surprising coming from Trump? The man who in the immediate aftermath of the assassination attempt was more concerned about getting his shoes on and exposing his head/face as the USSS was trying to cover him and force him off the stage to safety so that he could fist pump for the optics in that moment. You remember, that picture you love.

This would be surprising from you coming from Trump? You really have not been paying attention.
This just seems more like you not wanting to waste an opportunity to stoop to Trumps level. It’s sad.

So just putting out there that he is likely lying about his ear is dropping to his level? That’s an interesting take, el.
He is lying about his ear?

Now I see what so many on this board are talking to you about.

We (you and I) are better than that.

There's nothing to be better than, with regard to this. I'm just saying what seems obvious to me, that he's really playing up that bandage. You just seem to be bothered that people think that.

I already said it wasn't a big deal. It's more expected than anything.

I don't think it's all that important, but nobody can deny that Trump is milking that ear for everything it's worth, lol. That's why that patch is so outlandishly sized. Just like everything else he tries to draw attention to, it's just ridiculous. A 1st year med student would do a better job patching up that ear than that ridiculously sized patch.
I mean, I stated that's who he is. Whether it's a bullet or not, he's going to milk it for all it's worth, and why wouldn't he? Surely no one here expects any different? As for the bandage, it's funny to me. I don't really care that much about it. I already know who and what he is.

You misspelled "aspire" to Trump's level. The man was president and it's looking more and more like he will be again. We should all aspire to be petty hate labelers like Nazi-fist-pumping orange makeup wearing Trump! Where's the nearest p.... for me to grab? Orange man is teaching us how to be men again! Every man should strive to be the next Trump! Bend the knee or get a petty nickname moniker on you!

Ok... I threw up a little in my mouth typing that...

    Is this Welcome Back America?

Argh! It’s not downplaying it. I have called it an assassination attempt, I have said the shooter wanted to kill him.
Let's resolve this, I looked for that photo which shows the bullet in flight, just about to hit him in his ear. The first time I saw this photo it was a copy off of a copy, off of a copy and it lacked the ability to be blown up so that I could see the bullit.

This photo is closer to the original at the New York Times, it has the pixel saturation needed in the event that you need to use the enlargement feature your computer has to see it.

The bullet looks like a white streak about 10 to 12 inches long x about a quarter inch in diameter, and it's just about to get to his ear.

I've seen this type of photo before, this is the way bullets caught on electronic cameras look. Old film cameras usually were not using fast enough film to do this, but all of the cheap electronic cameras folks use today can capture bullets in flight, they have the speed which is necessary.

That streak is also consistent to what the human eye of an experienced markman can see. I was always able to see where a bullet I had fired went. That's what allowed me to be able to shoot very well from the first time I picked up a rifle.

From the standpoint of being behind a rifle, a bullet streek I see looks about the same, but my eye is not as fast as an electronic camera, but is faster than a film camera, so it will appear to be a streek about 50 feet long.

A piece of glass flying would not show in this photo, nor would a bullet if it weren't for the fact that a bullet is very hot, it puts out lots of infrared light as it travels through the air.

Another issue you face if you continue to insist it was glass is, this photo is a prized photo of the New York Times.

Sorry, I saw that photo. From that perspective you cannot tell whether that bullet will hit his ear or not. It could or it could be six inches or even a foot behind him.

Wouldn't this be just past his ear? The bullet should be going from left to right in this shot, correct?

Couldn't agree more. All of this.

The thing to really take away from this post is nobody (no normal, critical thinking individual) is comparing Trump to Hitler in the "evil" department. I think that's why Trump supporters get so inflamed by the comparison. They are not even close to being the same "evil". What is comparable is how Hitler came into power in Germany and how his followers started to bend rules and change laws to help Hitler gain power and influence. The same propaganda playbook. Do a deep dive on Hitler's rise to power in early 1930's Germany. The comparisons are legit.
I suspect that people didn’t think Hitler was evil in 1933, but he did harbor many prejudices even then, much like Trump. Has it been confirmed that trump kept a copy of Mein Kampf next to his bed? If so, it would explain the parallels.
