    Lost in all the news coverage about what's going on in the US right now is this bit of information.

    The Ukrainian government has completed an audit of thousands of case files related to Burisma. Ruslan Ryaboshapka (the prosecutor general), described by Zelenskiy as "100 percent my person" in the July phone call with president Trump said "I specifically asked prosecutors to check especially carefully those facts about Biden's alleged involvement. They answered that there was nothing of the kind."

    Not that anyone SHOULD be surprised to find out that Hunter Biden was not implicated in something that was done by the CEO of Burisma in his role as a government employee, that happened two years before Biden joined the board.

    Trying to intentionally cause an addict to relapse just to win an election

    Stay classy GOP
    ==============

    President Biden privately has expressed worry that Republicans' daily attacks and the criminal prosecution of his son Hunter are taking a toll on his family — and could even lead Hunter to relapse, given the family's history of struggling with addiction.
    Why it matters: Hunter Biden knows this. He told Axios in a rare interview that he sees his continued sobriety as crucial not only to his life — but also to ensuring Donald Trump doesn't return to the Oval Office.

    • "Most importantly, you have to believe that you're worth the work, or you'll never be able to get sober. But I often do think of the profound consequences of failure here," Hunter said.
    "Maybe it's the ultimate test for a recovering addict — I don't know," Hunter Biden said. "I have always been in awe of people who have stayed clean and sober through tragedies and obstacles few people ever face. They are my heroes, my inspiration."

    • He added that in this case, "I have something much bigger than even myself at stake. We are in the middle of a fight for the future of democracy."
    Zoom in: A slip by Hunter would weigh heavily on the president as he seeks re-election. Republicans and conservative tabloids have relished documenting Hunter's alcohol and drug addictions.……..

    17 Chairman Comer. We will release the deposition -- the transcripts like we always
    18 do when we agree to release the deposition, the transcripts.
    19 Mr. Swalwell. Shouldn't the witness know?
    20 . Yeah, we want to put the transcript out within a day.
    21 Mr. Nadler. Within a day? Very good. Thank you.
    22 . We'll do our best, yeah.
    23 Mr. Swalwell. In English or Russian?

    Finally finished reading through it. A few things that caught my eye:

    (this is one of those things that always bugs me about these types of hearings)
    Q: But Mr. Zlochevsky, at the time, was under investigation by the prosecutor general in Ukraine, Mr. Shokin.
    A: In 2015? No, that's the exact opposite of the truth. And, I think you can go to, I don't know, maybe 15,000 public reports. And you can talk to the IMF, and you can talk to the -- you can talk to the World Bank. And you can talk to the EU, the EU Commission on Energy and the EU Commission as it related to democracy. And you can talk to the State Department, or any State Department official that testified before your committee, Mr. Jordan, or when you were impachement. And they can say the exact opposite. Mr. Zlochevsky (I assume he means Shokin) was not investigating the -- many of the oligarchs, including a company like Burisma at the time.
    ::snip::
    Ambassador Pryatt actually gave a speech at the time after I joined the board in December of 2019, criticzing Mr. Shokin for not investigating, in particular, Burisma.
    ::snip::
    And I would really like you all to either look at -- look at every single report that's out there. Look at what Mr. -- President Poroshenko said. President Poroshenko, Viktor Shokin is the godfather of his child. President Poroshenko came out against Viktor Shokin and said everything he said is a lie. It's the exact opposite was true. Godson to his child, he went on national television here in the United States and said everything is a lie.
    Every single other official inside of -- Viktor Shokin was prosecuted inside of -- inside Ukraine because he was found with cash and diamonds and his chief of staff who was formerly his driver, were both prosecuted. And so Viktor Shokin was the problem, and the entire world community was asking for his removal.

    Hunter Biden spent almost two pages explaining all of the evidence that Shokin was corrupt and not investigating Zlochevsky. The very next question:
    Q: So Burisma wanted Viktor Shokin removed so--

    Nope. He just explained to you why Zlochesky didn't want Shokin fired, and you just went on as if none of that happened.

    Next, the infamous "10% for the Big Guy" email that Tony Bobulinski provided. Turns out the committee has text messages between Bobulinski and James Gillar where they discuss privately attempting to get Joe Biden involved. So, it wasn't Hunter Biden who was trying to get Joe involved, it was Bobulinski who was, and the partnership dissolved pretty quickly.

    Swallwell's questions: Did your father ever operate a hotel where foreign nationals spent millions while he was in office? Did your father ever employ a direct family member to work in the white house? Did anyone in your family receive 41 trademarks from China? etc was pretty funny.

    Matt Gaetz repeatedly accused, directly, Hunter of taking bribes, and referenced the $200,000 payment that Jim Biden made to Joe as one of these bribes, and decries the fact that Joe Biden simply hasn't produced a check showing that he loaned that money to his brother. Someone else (who's name is redacted) brings up that the committee is in possession of bank records showing the wire transfers (even going so far as to give the date and transaction numbers) showing Joe Biden sending that money to his brother.

    Lastly, should anyone still not understand how disingenuous the republicans are being here, they asked questions about money that was paid to Rosemont Seneca Bohai, and brought up Devon Archer's testimony about those payments, and they dismissed Hunter's claims that he was not involved with RSB. Which led to this question (again by someone who's name was redacted)
    Q And as exhibit 8, they provided some pages from Devon Archer's transcribed interview transcript. But that did not include page 67 of the transcript. If they had, you would've been able to see the following question propounded by my republican colleagues during Devon Archer's transcribed interview:
    "So you're saying there's no -- he had no -- 'he' being Hunter Biden -- had no position with RSB, Rosemont Seneca Bohai?" And Devon Archer's response: "Right."
    So it seems to me that Devon Archer's testimony and your testimony are the same: You had no position with Rosemont Seneca Bohai. Is that correct?"

    Seems like someone here (who lord knows has time to post walls of tweets in every other thread) is suddenly allergic to this particular thread. Or something. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    Lev Parnas has produced the note that Rudy had delivered to him when he was considering breaking with the Trump team lawyers and telling the truth about all the shenanigans Rudy pulled when he was trying to dig up dirt on Hunter.

    CNN) — Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, will go on trial for gun-related charges on June 3, a federal judge ruled Wednesday.

    If it holds, the early-June trial date could pit the president’s son in back-to-back trials in the two cases brought by Weiss. In addition to the gun case, Hunter Biden faces nine tax-related charges in California over an alleged conspiracy across several years to avoid paying over $1 million in taxes and is set to go to trial in the case on June 20.

    In Delaware, Hunter Biden has been charged with unlawfully purchasing a revolver while using illicit drugs, allegedly lying on federal forms about his drug use when he bought the weapon…….

    People are starting to suss out the connections between Trump and the lies about Hunter and Joe Biden.
