I think we need a new thread just about this guy. It seems like every day brings new awfulness.

She's a major poser and liar. Started identifying with her "Hispanic" identity after she joined Charley Kirk and TP in Florida and decided to run for office. Republicans don't even look for token minorities any more, they just turn scammers into them.

Yea, apparently her grandfather was a Nazi.

George Santos will not stand for being one upped, so i'm sure he will be claiming that Hitler was his grandfather any day now.

    Caught again... :biglol:

“Kyrsten Sinema as she was walking by, the senator from Arizona, she said something to the effect of ‘hang in there buddy’ or something like that,” Santos told Newsmax.

“I said ‘Thank you, madam senator,’” Santos said during the interview. “She was very polite, very kind-hearted as I’ve learned to see her. She’s a good person, unlike Mr. Romney.”

Sinema’s office made clear on Friday there is no truth to that claim.

“This is a lie,” Sinema spokeswoman Hannah Hurley told CNN.

Did she lie about something too?

The only comments i've seen about her aren't about anything she says.
Haven’t heard about her that I recall. If you think she deserves a thread, go for it.

    The WaPo article:

Mitt Romney evidently told Santos he didn’t belong there tonight.

Jezus H Christ, Mitt. You can't possibly be this stupid. Do you not get it? Do you not understand that the Republican party has no shame? Lack of shame and rejection of empathy are the defining characteristics of your party.
Is your bubble truly so opaque?

I wonder if this is going to be a wakeup call to Democrats to do oppo research on every congressional seat in the future? As much as this dude is a clown, I'm still shocked this was all found out AFTER the election.

I do wonder if the level of incompetence on display is because of policies like this?

I've said it more then once in this thread, but this was a congressional seat. I understand it for state races, but a congressional seat in New York? WTF is going on at the DCCC.

I'm not sure if this is worthy of a new thread, yet....but, it appears that Santos has some competition. Republican Representative Andy Ogles (Tenn.) also lied about his past. He claimed to be an economist, a tax policy expert, and the leader of an international nonprofit that rescued sex trafficking victims. Of course...none of that is true.

    Someone recently said....

Members of the media need to stop this nonsense where they get a republican on for an interview and they try to shame them by pointing out their lies and hypocrisy. The majority of the current republican party does not care if they lie, and do not care if they are hypocritical. They simply have no shame.

You can’t shame someone who has no shame

This is how you know this is a sad, broken human with no redeeming qualities: “this wasn’t about tricking anyone.”

Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.) said in a new interview that he did not think people would find out about his resume fabrications because he “got away with” the same falsehoods during his unsuccessful campaign for Congress in 2020.

The admission came during a roughly 40-minute interview Santos did with television host Piers Morgan, released on Monday, during which Morgan pressed Santos on several statements he has made that have since come under intense scrutiny.

“To run for Congress of the United States and to just tell blatant lies about even your academic record — I’m just struck, not necessarily that a politician would lie, but that you would think no one would find out,” Morgan said to Santos on his program, “Piers Morgan Uncensored.”

“Well, I’ll humor you this,” Santos responded. “I ran in 2020 for the same exact seat for Congress and I got away with it then.”

“Fine,” Morgan said. “Well that’s honest, stupid. So you thought, actually, that they’re not gonna find out?”

“No, I didn’t think so,” Santos replied. “But to that effect, it’s embarrassing, it’s humbling to have to admit your faults as a human being.”..........

The New York congressman and fabulist George Santos has become a “bludgeoning tool” being used to damage Republicans in Congress, a fellow New York Republican said, as Santos continued to ignore calls from some within his party to resign.

“He is a bludgeoning tool the Democrats are using without regard for truth,” Marc Molinaro, who like Santos won election to the House last November, told Politico in an interview.
“They’re lying about us in relationship to him. And he’s caused us every day to have to respond to his very existence in the House of Representatives, instead of giving 100% of our time to the important issues that Americans and the people who sent us to Washington care about.”

Santos faces calls to quit from fellow New York Republicans and voters in his Queens and Long Island district.

Democrats reportedly plan to tie New York Republicans to Santos as they attempt to reverse losses in the state, including to Santos in the third district, which contributed to Republicans taking the House last November.

Another Republican New York freshman, Anthony Esposito, told Politico: “Every time we’re having a conversation we seem to be talking about George Santos.”…….

Looks like George will be going through some things:
