On January 20 at 12:00pm EST, Joe Biden will be sworn in as the 46th president of the United States. And security has never been higher - for fear of violence caused by domestic terrorists and insurrectionists.

I thought Joe's speech was superb...
Man, this young woman Amanda Gorman is one hell of a poet... this is fantastic...

100% correct on both accounts. Biden knocked it out of the park. He's exhibited more presidential behavior since taking his oath than Trump did in the entirety of his tenure.

I think this is great. The work isn't done, but I think this shows that we as a country are willing elect leaders regardless of race, gender, sexual preference or religion. It's a step in the right direction. Those who continue to resist these changes will ultimately have to change or get left behind.

I got surprisingly choked up several times during the inauguration. It was beautiful, and thank goodness non-violent. I was surprised by the choices of singers, but Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez and Garth Brooks sung beautifully. Joe has a huge challenge ahead, but I have confidence in him. It's a great time to be an American.

Agreed. A lot of challenges face our nation but we needed this moment. Appeals to unity, decency, working together. The sense of hopelessness can be overwhelming, but there has to be a shift in tone if there's to be any progress.

Jeez. Lighten up Francesca... Have you never been to a Cheesecake Factory? If you had then it would make sense
Oh, I got your joke. Just adding in a note about it. Wasn't poo pooing on your joke. I thought it was interesting that it was a 127 yr old bible. Almost wondered if it was a dig at Trump being a fake Christian, but Biden isn't that way.
