    I already stated I'd admit I'm wrong, and I did. But, when you post as much nonsense as you do, it's usually shooting fish in a barrel. Blind squirrels and all that.

    I do think Trump has pedaled much, much more division than Biden has - as far as pitting fellow Americans against each other. And I do think Trump represents a real existential threat in comparison, especially with regard to giving power and a voice to christofascism.

    That being said, I don’t like the rhetoric that’s being used above, though I completely get why both sides use it (to get into office). It’s divisive and stirring up more and more polarization.

    Yeah, making a bad situation worse would be stupid.

    Let's start off by saying it is sick and evil to try to assassinate any politician or human not actively killing thousands. This whole thing is a tragedy. Also, some poor guy who was near by is now dead and others are injured.

    But the blame game I'm seeing online and the memes are mostly just sick (the matrix ones of trump being neo dodging the bullets is clever and funny).

    What do we know about the shooter today?

    He's 20. A registered republican. And has donated $15 to some sort of democratic political group. We have no idea of any 'political' motivations or if the kid was just 'troubled'. In any case, there are a lot of nuts out there with easy access to weapons that can do this.

    Greg, 150 yards is a fair distance for a long rifle. I would describe it as being at the outer limit for accurate shooting with an AR short barreled 'long rifle'.

    Basically an AR is a carbine, not an accurate shooting long rifle one should be using for 150 yard shots. Folks in the rally perimeter packing pistols might as well have spit wads for all they could do about it from 150 yards away.

    I guess like many I’m still trying to figure out why a registered Republican would vote the Republican nominee.

    Did you pick up on that small detail that the crazy video of that crazy guy in the normal car, who found some glasses which kind of looked like the shooters glasses, who kind of looked like the shooter if you didn't look closely, made that video after the shooter was dead.

    I.e. he's an Internet troll. Nothing in that video has anything to do with this event. Nothing he said means a thing.

    chairman Mao. I imagine Pol Pot is up there as well.
