From the article, while he was in the courthouse, he was making disparaging social media posts against Carroll and the judge. The judge went so far as to instruct the jury not to use their real names, but pseudonyms. I can't imagine what it would be like to suffer from having someone send their army of online minions/zealots to enact retribution..

It is Trump’s second trial against the writer E. Jean Carroll, who won her first case against the former president last year when a jury found him liable for sexually abusing her in the 1990s and then defaming her in 2022. That jury ordered Trump to pay Carroll $5 million in damages.

The current trial concerns separate comments that Trump made about Carroll in 2019, while Trump was president. The jury’s job is to determine not whether Trump defamed Carroll in those comments — U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan has already ruled that he did — but simply how much Trump should pay her in damages. (Any award would come on top of the $5 million awarded in the 2023 trial.)

"Absolutely ridiculous! I fully disagree with both verdicts, and will be appealing this whole Biden Directed Witch Hunt focused on me and the Republican Party," he wrote on Truth Social. "Our Legal System is out of control, and being used as a Political Weapon."

So he testified to the amount of cash on hand. I knew I heard it somewhere. Wonder if he inflated it like everything else?

Well that first post on Truth Social didn’t mention her by name or call the accusations false, but minutes later on Telegram….

Conspicuously absent from that statement, however, was E. Jean Carroll, an early indication that Trump may finally be dissuaded from attacking the former journalist.

But, true to form, just minutes after the Truth Social post, Trump took to Telegram—another social media site—to continue the very behavior the jurors had just tried to dramatically disincentivize.

“We asked for one Trial, on the E. Jean Carroll False Accusation Case, but the Judge wouldn’t give it to us, he made us have two Trials on the same Hoax, and then, on the second Trial, they were allowed to use whatever information they wanted from the first, but we weren’t allowed to use anything!” Trump wrote. “As an example, the Depositions they’re using on the second Trial were taken in the first. He wouldn’t allow us to use the totally exonerating Anderson Cooper/CNN Interview on either trial, but none of it in the second. Our Legal System is in shambles! This is another Biden Demanded Witch Hunt against his Political Opponent, funded and managed by Radical Left Democrats. The Courts are totally stacked against me, have never been used against a Political Opponent, like this, but in the end, we will win it all, and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Lol he has turned off the "comments" ability on his TG channel
So it's just him speaking. No replies

Think his thin skin won't let him.

Trump seems to think he knows how to manipulate what people think - to alter reality, and in some ways he’s been effective at that.

But what we have now seen time and time again is that those tools don’t work in a court of law. Judges (with some small exceptions) aren’t subject to it - and I think Trump’s antics in court and the way he challenges judges and the whole system doesn’t play well to jurors. I mentioned this in our lengthy discussions with that guy who was briefly here a few months ago, when he insisted that Trump would never be convicted. Jurors are not just voters out in the general public. They are on-task, seriously minded, and the process of going through the trial under the judge’s guidance keeps them that way. Their results on facts and credibility can sometimes be unpredictable but I think they all take it very seriously. And this clown mocking the system, acting like he’s above the court’s reach, and sending his incompetent lawyers to reiterate those messages is insulting to the dignity of the court and that includes the jury.

Insulting the jury is a really stupid strategy- and Trump is too foolish to realize it. I think this jury relished the chance to punish him, not for being Trump the politician, but Trump the party to this case and how he handled it.

It doesn’t bode well for his chances in the criminal cases should they ever go to trial.

I expected Trump to lose in the civil case due to the lower standard of proof required, but just 1 Trumpist can ruin a criminal case. I think it will be hard to avoid a Trumpist slipping onto each of the juries to nullify when he has brainwashed 3 out of 10 Americans.
