The whole Equifax data breach, and their "remedy" is pretty small compared to the potential risk. That may be the issue.. potential risk vs actual damages.

However, the silent protester photobombing the hearings dressed as the Monopoly man is hilarious.

This is an issue most posters here can agree on regardless of whether they're Liberal, Moderate, or Conservative. It's estimated that if all eligible claimants file a claim the individual payout will be less than five dollars each. Don't believe the announced $125 per claim that's being reported. It's a joke that an irresponsible company like Equifax can settle for such a small penalty when the damage they've caused can end up costing those affected thousands of dollars. Don't even get me started on how much erroneous information companies like Equifax, Transunion, and Experian keep on file and how difficult it is to get that incorrect information removed.

Yeah, at first I was all “great - both of us can get $125!” And then I read a little bit more, and it seems nobody is getting that much, or much of anything at all. Also, not using their security crap either. They lost my data, and want me to trust them now to protect it? Pssshh.

    Huh... Today I Learned....

Like seeing it, I know he doesnt have a monocle, but seeing someone with it on, doesn't trigger that it was incorrect..ha.
