This appears like its going to need a thread of its own: there have now been multiple whistleblower reports about what DOGE is doing (and not doing) on federal information systems. We still don't know what they have been installing or why - and there has been zero transparency about it from day 1.

That was just the Labor Board, they likely have access to more sensitive Government Agencies as well. There's a word for that and the punishment is death!

There is quite a bit of prep for automation going on.

Even the way documents are being restructured.

I'm pretty convinced this exact thing is going on at the agency where my office is a tenant at. I can't say the name of agency, but I've seen who I believe were DOGE agents here at the IT offices. This sheet is absolutely disturbing, and I'm not the only one here who is shocked by all of this.

Not getting nearly enough attention. There's just so much crap going on it's hard to focus, but this is just as ridiculous and lawless as so many other things.
Agreed. This is exceptionally worrisome - seizure of data like this is terrifying. Supporters will, I assume, just roll out some variation of "If you did nothing wrong, you have nothing to fear"

I would love to get Sendai to comment on this. Are these still the guys who “catch rockets”?

Does he still think they are looking for waste fraud and abuse?

My guess is they are building a modern external master data base system fed by data from all the antiquated systems. So the antiquated systems continue the day to day like sending social security payments. And the new modern system provides for remote analytics.

    So naive!

Why no transparency? Why are they breaking laws set up for safe handling of data? Why not follow established safety protocols? Why leave a threatening note on the whistleblower’s home with pictures of him being surveilled by a drone?

Answer: if they were doing legitimate work, they would be following safety protocols and being transparent. They’re not doing anything legitimate.

Why did multiple log-in attempts from Russia occur within 15 minutes of DOGE being issued log-in credentials? Using the newly created user names and passwords?

So you don’t think they are building a modern integrated master data base sourced from all the government data systems?

You ignored every thing I asked you. How do you know any of the data bases need to be updated? Why would consolidating all these disparate data bases be a good idea? The Labor Relations board database doesn’t need to be integrated with the Social Security database. The database of NIH grants doesn’t need to be integrated with Social Security or the Labor Relations board.

Yes, please see what I posted next. They are creating a surveillance state. Does this please you?

You asked me to comment. I did.

I’m pretty sure they are building a regularly refreshed master data base system sourced from current legacy systems into a modern ai infrastructure in order to do widespread analytics.

    It’s that simple.

Analytics to what end? Analytics can be used both for and against securing and protecting our interests.

This is complete bullshirt and it's laughable that you actually believe this! They don't need actual citizens information if they are attempting to modernize the system and you'd be an idiot if you would be cool with them using that data to build/test such a system.

Sendai thinks Big Balls is going to modernize government IT systems using AI.

I asked you several pointed questions about their using illegal methods and ignoring safety protocols. There is credible evidence they have either been hacked by Russia or they are working with Russia. You have ignored all of that evidence.

I had thought you might see the issues with a master data base system. Especially since they haven’t really evidenced any clear competency, rather quite the opposite with their many errors.

Are you comfortable with what they are doing?
