    Oh, but he's only joking - well, maybe, so they say. Or sort of joking with Canada, and maybe not joking with Greenland - saying that "ownership and control of Greenland is an absolute necessity" doesn't sound like a joke . . . and um, not sure about what the about Panama Canal thing is?

    After dinner tonight I was reading Trump’s Christmas message at my sister’s house (she voted for him) and she said “Hey - don’t do that, that’s not cool.” And she turned the music up louder and walked out.

    It’s literally Trump’s message. Wtf?

    I try to rationalize my service to this country by trying to focus on what we were as a nation 35years ago...shirt like that makes it very hard.

    The number of workers lost was a flat out lie. Of the almost 6,000 workers who died during the American construction period most were not American.

    Denmark: Kick the U.S. military out of Greenland.

    Canada: Close the U.S. -Canadian border.

    Enough with this brain dead puppet-elect. He is too stupid and brain damaged to be president. The Republican Party knew this and didn’t care.

    Trump says something stupid, offensive, impossible to do, or just plain mean (or all of these)

    1. Deny you heard the comments (Really? You haven't heard the stupid thing Trump said that's dominated the news the past 2 days?)

    2. Deny he said the comments. Blame Dems and/or fake news liberal media for taking comment out of context. "That's clearly not what he meant"

    3. Deflect #1 (After video/Truth Social posts show Trump said exactly what we thought he said) "He was obviously joking. Dems can't take a joke. Lamestream media can't identify obvious sarcasm/satire)

    4. Deflect #2 "What does (stupid Trump thing) have to do with the terrible mess the Biden Administration has left America with?

    5. Deflect #3 'That's just Trump being Trump. he says a lot of stuff, he just spitballs and brainstorms out loud, that's why people love him. You can't take everything he says seriously or as a serious policy proposal"

    6.. Acceptance (After Trump double and triple downs on his comment and beyond truth social posts and statements in rallies is putting out behind the scenes feelers about making this happen) "Canada is basically America Junior already why not make it official?" "If America controlled the Panama Canal price for everything would be cut in half" "Only Trump would have the vison and guts to suggest something like this"

    ****While this is going on during this whole process you hope beyond hope that Trump says something else or is distracted by something else and he and the media moves on and forgets about this

    President José Raúl Mulino of Panama brushed off U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s baseless claim that Chinese soldiers are “operating the Panama Canal,” calling it “nonsense.”

    In a Christmas Day message on Truth Social, Trump sarcastically wished a merry Christmas to “the wonderful soldiers of China, who are lovingly, but illegally, operating the Panama Canal” and “making certain that the United States puts in Billions of Dollars in ‘repair’ money, but will have absolutely nothing to say about anything.”

    He then claimed the Panamanian government is “ripping off” the United States at the Panama Canal.

    But Mulino put a stop to the accusation in a press conference on Thursday, saying there is no truth to the claim Chinese soldiers are operating the canal.

    “There are no Chinese soldiers in the canal. For the love of God, you are free, the whole world is free, to visit the canal if you please,” Mulinto said in a translated speech.

    “What [Trump] has said on this issue is nonsense, it does not exist,” he added.

    Trump last weekend threatened twice to take over the canal in a post on Truth Social and at a conference of the conservative Turning Point USA in Phoenix, where he told the crowd he is prepared to take control because he’s angry about “exorbitant’ use fees.……..
