We’ll see if this makes it into anything official but it seems pretty stupid to me - I don’t think there are any requirements on how a pardon is signed, only that the president endorsed it.

i've noticed a lot of chatter on right wing sites about Biden's use of autosign. It has just now trickled up to Trump. What's not surprising is Trump himself uses autosign for many of his EO's and such.

It's entirely baseless - you can sign a multi-billion dollar real estate deal or adopt children with an electronic signature, it's legal and valid under federal law. The accusation that Biden didn't know about it is the only one that matters, but that's pretty nonsensical.

i was just coming to ask if my recent purchase via docusign is null and void lol.

Along with the 1000s of insureds over last 12 months that have signed insurance contracts via docusign.

That seems like a complete non-starter. Obviously there's statements about them - e.g. https://bidenwhitehouse.archives.go.../01/20/statement-from-president-joe-biden-15/ - but I suppose, hypothetically, they could argue he didn't write it and was somehow unaware of it.

But he was asked about whether he was thinking about it in a USA Today interview in January as well (https://eu.usatoday.com/story/news/...8/joe-biden-interview-transcript/77490912007/):

PAGE: Mr. President, your term is not over yet. You're still doing things every day. Some of your supporters have encouraged you to issue preemptive pardons to people like Liz Cheney and Anthony Fauci, who Trump has threatened to target. Will you do that?
BIDEN: Well, a little bit of it depends on who he puts in what positions.

So the argument would have to be that he was thinking of doing it, but... what? Then he didn't, but someone else did it behind his back? It's ludicrous.

Yeah, it's bad shirt nonsense to please his MAGA brownshirts.
