CBS News on Friday announced the rules for Tuesday's live vice presidential debate between Gov. Tim Walz and Sen. JD Vance, the first and only time the two are scheduled to square off on the national stage.
The 90-minute debate will start at 9 p.m. ET on Oct. 1 in New York City. It's being moderated by “CBS Evening News” anchor Norah O’Donnell and Margaret Brennan of CBS' “Face the Nation.”
According to CBS, the respective campaigns have agreed to and accepted the following rules:
