Washington — The Senate is set to vote Monday evening on the confirmation of Scott Bessent as treasury secretary, as Senate Republicans work to quickly install President Trump's picks for top administration posts.
Bessent, 62, is the founder of Connecticut-based hedge fund Key Square Group and would be the first Senate-confirmed openly gay Cabinet member of a Republican administration.
