Several people were shot in Kansas City, Missouri, after a rally Wednesday celebrating the Chiefs Super Bowl victory, authorities said.

Two people were detained after the shooting near a garage west of Union Station, the Kansas City Police Department said in a statement.

The department did not identify suspects. The condition of the victims remained unclear.

The statement asked for people to quickly leave the area in an effort to provide the victims with medical aid.

Thousands of people had gathered in downtown Kansas City for a celebratory parade and rally at Union Station after the Chiefs Super Bowl win on Sunday.

Repealing gun safety laws, allowing anyone to have a semi automatic weapon etc, has caused the carnage.

Guns have take our freedom from us. Now it's not safe to even celebrate a Super Bowl win. We aren't free to know we are safe anywhere. Not even in churches.

Guns haven't given us freedom. Guns have taken our freedom from us.

Today is the 6 year anniversary of the mass shooting at Parkland High School in Florida.

not to mock this but a party 3 days after?

That sounds about right. I know when the Seahawks won the Super Bowl February 2, 2014. They had the same parade and celebration in Seattle without anyone being shot on February 5, 2014.

    Three days later.

Conservative pundits, activists, and politicians have continued to spread the unfounded claim that the Lakewood church shooter was a transgender woman – even after it was kiboshed by police.

Genesse Moreno, 36, opened fire inside Joel Osteen’s megachurch in Houston, Texas on Sunday, sparking a gunfight with two off-duty law enforcement officers that left her seven-year-old son – whom she had brought with her – fighting for his life in hospital.

Houston police said in a press conference on Monday that, although Moreno had sometimes gone by the alias “Jeffrey Escalante”, their investigations so far had found no evidence that she had ever identified as any gender other than female.

The Independent has also found no mention of any trans identity in court documents from Moreno’s past divorce and child custody battle, and police have confirmed that she was the biological mother of her son.

But that did not stop conservative crusader Chris Rufo, anti-LGBT+ activist Chaya Raichik, Donald Trump Jr, and even Texas Senator Ted Cruz from latching onto the idea.........

Not only wrong, but dangerous. She was a crook, she kited checks under all sorts of names. Nothing trans about her at all. But that doesn’t stop these depraved people from telling lies and endangering innocent people. All of the people spreading this lie, and Musk was also involved, are dangerous bigots.
