I was so frustrated when he lost the second term. At the time, I was living in Tennessee with some family while attending school. They were incredibly progressive and ahead of their time—embracing ideas like solar farming and other sustainable practices. But, as we’ve seen repeatedly with ultra-progressives, puritanism got in the way. They voted and campaigned for Anderson.

Politics is a dirty game. Puritanism often leads to bad outcomes because right-wing voters are united and vote strategically for power. When the liberal side splits into realists and puritans, the right wing will always win.

Jimmy Carter was a credit to our race. We need more professed Christians to live their faith like him. We should all learn from him, but I say that only because of the percentage of Christians in our society and the impact they have on it.

Yes they did. You’re the only one on here whose reading comprehension is so low you didn’t understand. He said “our” race not “my” or “your”. Our being an inclusive word meaning all of us. Hence humanity and not white.

This isn't a disagreement. You are objectively, definitively, wrong. Coldseat was referring to the human race, "the human race" is a widely known phrase, and the post entirely makes sense in that context.

So, no, I don't think something's wrong with you because "you disagree". I think something's wrong with you because you've obviously interpreted a post in an incredibly stupid way and, apparently, think the best way to respond to that is by offering a definition of the word "race" as if that would make the entire concept of the human race disappear.

Honestly, if you can't write or comprehend plain English posts and consequently end up spending half your time wildly misinterpreting other people's posts and the other half complaining that they've misinterpreted your posts, maybe get another hobby?

I think most people got where you were coming from. I think Jimmy Carter had good intentions as president, it didn’t work out so well for him, but a man who used his position and personal time after well and should be recognized because I do believe he worked hard to help those less fortunate than himself. It’s relieving that he’s finally passed from a certain perspective. The last time I saw him in public, he looked like The Walking Dead. But he wasn’t walking.That was the longest hospice care I’ve ever seen or heard of in my life. A great person, a good president and should be remembered as such. Best wishes to his family and friends in this trying time. He led a great life that anyone should wish to be proud of to have had themselves!

I don't even have a problem with white people holding him up as a credit and example to their "race", because he is. I'd rather white people admirer somebody like Jimmy Carter than somebody like Trump.

But my context was clear and he knows it. He just chose the opportunity to make something petty out of it.
