while Mr. Mike and Mrs. Thomason are great people. Not so sure this story is a good thing.

1. No child should have any kind of balance for school lunch. It should be free.

2. So the school decided to punish the kids because their parents are poor? “No ice cream for you because your parents can’t afford your school lunch”. WTF?

Totally agree - it was an awful decision by the school in two ways. You had to bring a dollar to get ice cream, and then even if you had a dollar, you couldn’t get ice cream if you owed a balance in your lunch money account. Just horrible.

Which is why what those two did was so awesome.
