It looks like the first shoe has dropped with the Durham investigation with the Clinesmith plea deal. Clinesmith wasn't a low level FBI employee involved in the Crossfire Hurricane investigation.

He worked with Strzok to arrange sending an FBI agent into Trump-Flynn briefing, was on the Mueller team, he took part in the Papadopoulos interviews, and he participated in the FISA process.

From the NYT article:

I wonder who else knew about the lies?

According to someone I trust, Fox News reported yesterday that, similar to the “unmasking” probe, there will be no report made. It will just slink away like the fraud that it was from the beginning. 🤷‍♀️

Seems like much ado about nothing after all...whoops? I only hope that something can be put in place to prevent the rampant weaponization of the DOJ that we have witnessed, it is beyond appalling, I hope Bill Barr dies in jail....

We have moved on to Hunter Biden’s computer as the new story. They have the memory of a goldfish I swear.

I am sure techno fog or undercover Huber will be along any minute to tell us why this is the bombshell. Never mind every other “bombshell” was a dud that they completely fabricated.

this time they will be right. Believe me.

it would be hilarious if it wasn’t so sad how gullible these people are.

Not Durham specifically, but it looks like Bushwack Billy Barr couldn’t even make something out of nothing in this case, so he let it die a silent death.

That doesn't appear to be the accurate. It looks like another US attorney is taking over the case.

It looks like Durham isn't done and his investigation will be completed after the election. I do remember the constant whining about indicating people before the election so those people should be happy with that.

This article talked about the Durham grand jury about Alfa Bank so he's clearly not done with the investigation.

It's such a weird coincidence that just about all the upper level FBI agents involved in the Russia investigation are no longer working for the FBI. Maybe Ohr just wanted a vacation.
You say weird, I say sad. That man had a long career taking down bad guys in the DoJ, so it's easy to see why trump targeted him.

When a lawyer for one of Russia’s most powerful reputed crime bosses arrived at F.B.I. headquarters one day around 2006, he wanted to cut a deal. The Russian, Semion Y. Mogilevich, had been indicted three years earlier by the department on charges of defrauding a company outside Philadelphia out of $150 million and could not travel for fear of arrest.
As the lawyer made his pitch, a supervising F.B.I. agent and a senior career Justice Department official, Bruce G. Ohr, both listened intently, according to a former bureau official who described the meeting. The case was significant for American law enforcement. It had made headlines and laid the groundwork for Justice Department efforts to combat Russian organized crime overseas.

Finally, the F.B.I. agent spoke. No deal, he said; Mr. Mogilevich must surrender. Mr. Ohr said little, but his unwillingness to negotiate was signal enough: The Justice Department would not compromise with the Russian mafia.

“Occasionally you run across people from the Justice Department who have an air of superiority toward agents, and Bruce had none of that,” said Chris Swecker, a former senior F.B.I. official who worked with Mr. Ohr. “He was just the opposite. He was well liked at the F.B.I. and fought for their cases.”

In nearly three decades at the Justice Department, Mr. Ohr has made a career of supporting and facilitating important cases that targeted Russian organized crime. Now he is a target of President Trump, who has put his security clearance under review and attacked him publicly, and allies. They have cast Mr. Ohr and his wife — who worked as a contractor at the same research firm that produced a damaging dossier of information about Mr. Trump — as villains, part of a pro-Clinton cabal out to destroy the president.

this from over a month ago... so if he wants to "connect dots"...lets CONNECT DOTS.

By the early 2000s, a third of the buyers of Trump Tower’s most expensive condos were Russia-linked shell companies or individuals from the former Soviet Union—including Eduard Nektalov, a mob-connected diamond dealer from Uzbekistan, and David Bogatin, a Russian-émigré mobster who specialized in bootlegging gasoline. Bogatin’s brother was involved in an elaborate stock fraud with the top Russian mob boss Mogilevich, who himself is allied with Alimzhan Tokhtakhounov—another Russian mob leader who ran an entire gambling and money-laundering network out of Unit 63A in Trump Tower, just three floors below Trump’s own residence.(Tokhtakhounov was a VIP attendee at Trump’s Miss Universe pageant in Moscow just seven months after the gambling ring was busted by the FBI.) Trump’s own sons have boasted of the Trump Organization’s dependence on Russian money. “Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets,” Donald Trump Jr. said in 2008. “We don’t rely on American banks,” Eric Trump reportedly told a golfing buddy in 2014. “We have all the funding we need out of Russia.”

this thread is starting to look like Whack-a-Mole

We've been told that Durham is coming! for a long while now. When does he get here? And what does the endgame look like? Arrests? Charges? Prison?

I've gotten lost amidst all of these threads. I read a couple of days ago, nothing was actually going to be filed or pressed. How does that reconcile with a house of cards that's been supposed to fall for weeks now?
are we there yet?

No matter how long it takes, WE WILL GET THERE
Attorney General William Barr has appointed John Durham as special counsel, granting the veteran federal prosecutor protection to pursue his investigation into the origins of the Russia probe into the incoming Biden administration.

Barr made the move in October, two weeks before the election, according to a letter he sent to Congress on Tuesday. The attorney general said he appointed Durham as a special counsel "to provide him and his team with the assurance that they could complete their work, without regard to the outcome of the election."
