This comes as no shock. Even though he wasn't in charge long, it was a tenure riddled with controversy and disappointment. I wish him the best of luck wherever he goes.

Personally I split my time between Fox News and CNN. Both have quality programming as well as political opinion shows, although CNN tends to be slightly more bias. I can handle it though for a certain length. I truly hope CNN turns things around and improves in the ratings it's struggled with.

He hadn't risen into my awareness zone. And now you say he's gone.

Kind of like when a coyote passes though my yard by night. Unless it howls when I happen to be awake I'll not know of it's presence. Generally I won't even see foot prints or signs of passage come morning.

His tenure was so short it was easy to miss. He's best known for firing John Harwood and Brian Stelter. I suspect the real reason Licht was fired was because he was too moderate and not a leftwing extremist. Liberals and the MSM constantly attacked him because he tried to make CNN less bias than they already were.

I think of CNN as being libertarian biased. They're not liberal friends.

I think he was fired because ratings tanked and nobody wanted the façade of "anti-woke centrist" news he was trying to sell that led him to give Trump an entire hours in front of a friendly crowd to spin his lies.
