Oh, but he's only joking - well, maybe, so they say. Or sort of joking with Canada, and maybe not joking with Greenland - saying that "ownership and control of Greenland is an absolute necessity" doesn't sound like a joke . . . and um, not sure about what the about Panama Canal thing is?

Here comes more of the pain that Musk promised! I swear, these guys actions are purposefully designed to sabotage The United States from within. When they reach their endgame, we will be incapable of responding to what comes next.
Seriously, if someone wanted to sabotage the United States from within, how different would their actions be from what we've seen the last six weeks? It's insanity.

How does the GOP have so many of these type of people? It's like there was a massive stunted development event in the past and now all of those people affected are in the GOP.

They have found their way to the top, riding the crest of the "fringe resurgence" wave.

I really thought their ideals were so far off that most people would find them as kooky as they sounded.
What I realized is that while many don't agree with EVERTHING, they find one or two items to support and allow all the other kooky stuff because the end justifies the means.

I figured those folks will eventually cycle back around to normalcy, but they are so hell bent on "winning" I don't know if we return to normalcy within 3 to 5 years. This will be around for a while.

    3 to 5 years?

Donald Trump and MAGA has changed what politics looks like for decades

The only question is will they be in power or out of power, but they're not going away

I can't quite work out whether it was created by someone as a ludicrously over-the-top satire, but they've so completely lost the plot that they saw it and went, "Yes, actually, that looks good to us," or whether someone in the cult made it sincerely, which leaves the bearded belly-dancers unexplained.
We have an answer, and the insane Trump Gaza video was apparently satire so you'd think that would point to the 'they have so completely lost the plot that they saw it and went, "Yes, good."'

Except there's some caveats to that though. Like, the creator is a US citizen born in Israel, his business partner is an Israeli film director, they shared the video with Mel Gibson, and the comments in the article are all about AI videos and not at all about, you know, the ethnic cleansing of Gaza.

Additionally a quick google turned up some other articles about it - https://www.nbcnews.com/tech/internet/trump-gaza-ai-video-propaganda-machine-rcna194097 - and has this:

Avital and Vromen, who are from Israel and now live in the United States, each said the video was satire, taking Trump’s proposal and pushing it to an extreme level of imagination, but it wasn’t necessarily critical. Vromen said that he thinks Trump’s proposal is one of the few forward-thinking policy proposals that could address a longstanding stalemate in the region.
“You look at Trump Gaza, and you’re like, ‘Hey, gazillion times better than what it is right now, whether it’s good or bad,’” he said. “With humor, there is truth, you know, but it was not our intention to be a propaganda machine.”
    Mmm.

Oh, and apparently the bearded belly dancers were making fun of Hamas, with the premise being that the result of Trump's ethnic cleansing and development of Gaza would be that "Gaza will be so liberated that it will become woke."

Donald Trump’s claim in his address to Congress that the US will acquire Greenland “one way or the other” was widely condemned in Nuuk as “disrespectful” and was said to present an “unacceptable view of humanity”.

In his speech on Tuesday night, the US president was met with laughs, including from the vice-president, JD Vance, who was sitting behind him, when he said: “I also have a message tonight for the incredible people of Greenland.”

Trump said if the Arctic island, which is part of the kingdom of Denmark, chose to become part of the US, it would be welcomed. “I think we’re going to get it [Greenland]. One way or the other we’re going to get it,” he said to laughs and applause.

Addressing Greenlandic people, he added: “We will keep you safe. We will make you rich. And together we will take Greenland to heights like you have never thought possible before.”

Naaja Nathanielsen, Greenland’s minister for natural resources, equality, business and justice, said the scenes showed a “fundamental lack of respect for us as a people, for our historical connection to these lands and for our democratic institutions”.

She said she was “not blind” to the potential for increased trade and cooperation, but “the absence of a respectful tone stands in the way”.

She said: “Hearing American legislators giggle over statements like ‘we are gonna get it one way or the other’ is disrespectful. I say no thank you to the idea of Red, White and Blueland. No thank you to the prospect of becoming an American state or some other form of American subsidiary.”

Nathanielsen said the US was “sending some very unclear signals” about who it considered allies and how it used its “enormous power”.

Using the Greenlandic name for Greenland, the prime minister, Múte Egede, said: “Kalaallit Nunaat is ours.” He wrote on social media: “We don’t want to be Americans, nor Danes; We are Kalaallit. The Americans and their leader must understand that. We are not for sale and cannot simply be taken. Our future will be decided by us in Greenland.”…….

    Forking Republican idiots.

They are the essence of “The Ugly American”. And they are getting uglier.

    Eerie.

Go look up North American Technate- it was a "technocracy movement" that included Joshua Haldeman- the grandfather of Elon Musk.
