Meant to post this when the Scott Adams/Dilbert story broke

Who are far right celebrities that you are aware of?

I think Jon Voight is probably the granddaddy of them all with James Woods not far behind

    There's Ted Nugent for sure

Hercules' Kevin Sorbo and Lois & Clark's Dean Cain

Scott Baio had his moment at the RNC, I haven't heard anything from him since

I'd add Kanye West but he more seems to be just losing his mind

I'm pretty sure that Drew Carey, Tim Allen and Kelsey Grammer are conservative Republicans (which is fine) but as far as I know none of them went off the deep end

Roseanne Barr seemed to go full far right

Growing Pains Kirk Cameron is super religious, but I've never heard him comment on anything other than religion (it would just be an assumption that someone that religious is far right)

The pandemic opened the doors to some anti-vax, conspiracy minded celebs which doesn't necessarily have anything to do with politics

    Those would include:

    Person of Interest's Jim Caviezel
    Black Panther Letitia Wright
    Lost's Evangeline Lilly

    Think of anyone else?

Shazam! star Zachary Levi has endorsed Republican candidate Donald Trump for president after his first choice, Robert F Kennedy Jr, dropped out of the race last month.

The DC actor appeared at a Donald Trump rally in Michigan on Saturday to throw his support behind the former president.

“I’m not gonna take too much time, but I did just wanna just give you a little context about why Shazam is sitting here talking to you about these various things,” said Levi, referencing his superhero character.

“I grew up in my family that was Christian conservative, that was pretty much the lane that we were in. My parents were Kennedy Democrats that then turned into Reagan Republicans, and they taught me to have a healthy level of distrust for the government and a healthy level of distrust for industry that runs amok.

“And for a long time, I was like, ‘Man, I really want to find a politician that represents all of the things that I want and I want to see in a presidential candidate.’ And this year, I found Bobby Kennedy, and I thought, ‘Man, this guy is it. He’s the real deal.’ And in a perfect world, whatever that would look like, perhaps I would have voted for Bobby. But we don’t live in a perfect world. In fact, we live in a very broken one, we live in a country that has been hijacked by a lot of people who want to take this place way off the cliff. And we want to stop that, right?”

Levi continued: “We’re here to make sure that we are going to take back this country, we are going to make it great again, we are going to make it healthy again. And so, I stand with Bobby, and I stand with Tulsi, and I stand with everyone else who is standing with President Trump. Because I do believe, of the two choices that we have, and we only have two, Donald Trump, President Trump is the man that can get us there. And he’s gonna get us there because he’s gonna have the backing and the support and the wisdom and the knowledge and the fight that exists in Robert Kennedy Jr and former representative Tulsi Gabbard.”……..

Appealing to “first buddy” Elon Musk during a Fox News appearance, Shazam! star Zachary Levi urged the world’s richest man to save the “good people” who are working for the federal government – specifically, the “people that voted for Donald Trump who are losing their job.”

Levi, who supported Donald Trump during this past election, also told Fox News host Jesse Watters on Tuesday night that he was “so grateful” that Trump defeated Kamala Harris, especially since it meant that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard were now in the Trump administration………

“Please — Elon and all of your team and whatever needs to happen — please don’t let everybody fall through the cracks as we are doing what is necessary, which is to get in there and to like cut a cancer out, man,” Levi said. “You know, sometimes they go in for cancer surgeries, doctors, and you lose some good healthy tissue along in that. They don’t want to do that, but it’s a part of like extracting that darkness out of there. And right now that’s what’s happening.”

He concluded: “But there are good people, people that voted for Donald Trump who are losing their job. And we got to make sure that we don’t leave those folks behind.”………

I almost cussed him out at Fan Expo once before realizing I was there working under press credentials.

Goonies and Die Hard actor Robert Davi

Robert Davi, who starred as the villainous Jake Fratelli in The Goonies, has said he’s worried his conservative views could prevent an invite to return for the recently announced sequel.

Last week — 40 years after the movie’s 1985 release — it was announced that a much-belated Goonies 2 was in production, with Steven Spielberg producing.

Speaking to Fox Digital in a recent interview about the forthcoming sequel, 73-year-old Davi, who has been a staunch Donald Trumpsupporter since 2015, said he hopes his political views aren’t held against him.

“I do hope I'm part of it,” he said of Goonies 2. “I hope that they don't hold my politics against me and keep me from that project.”

Davi, who regularly posts his support of the Trump administration on X, expressed genuine concern that his beliefs could prevent him from getting a call to join the new installment………

Kid Rock is reportedly no longer with his fiancée of seven years Audrey Berry.

The news of the couple’s break-up comes after the singer was seen getting into a cab with Colorado Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert after a Donald Trump inaugural event at 2:30 a.m., according to Page Six.

A source who spoke to Us Weekly on Friday said that the couple broke up late last year and the singer has now moved on. “He is venturing into the dating pool,” the source told the publication.…….

    =================

Canada hockey legend Wayne Gretzky was already facing a strained relationship with the Canadian public when he emerged from the tunnel at his country’s 4 Nations Face-Off final against the United States in Boston last week.

But that strain reached a full-on breaking point on Thursday night when Gretzky gave an eager thumbs up to the US players and wore no Canadian colors to a game where he was his country’s honorary team captain.

Gretzky’s perceived disloyalty to his home country, where hockey is almost a national religion, may have caused an uproar among Canadians even at the best of times.

But his actions were interpreted by many as traitorous amid heightened nationalism as Donald Trumpthreatens a trade war and muses about making Canada the 51st state.

Regardless of Gretzky’s reputation, some observers say the reactions are proof that many Canadians could be looking for their sports heroes to take a stronger stance on Trump.

“Observers of Canadian hockey look at Wayne Gretzky as essentially an immortal, a god, right? But the truth is, his relationship to the Canadian hockey public has been very different than say it was in 2002,” says Taylor McKee, an assistant professor of sports management at Brock University in St Catharines, Ontario.

In 2002, Gretzky was the executive director of Canada’s gold medal-winning Olympic hockey team in Salt Lake City. There he was considered “Mr Canada,” says McKee. Canadians who want that version of him to emerge at a time when there are external threats to the country, were left disappointed by Gretzky, he says.

“They wanted a guy who was willing to stand up there and take bullets for the team,” he says. “Instead, they got the guy they saw essentially as a saboteur, or certainly someone they couldn’t trust.”……..
