This deranged post seems to have broken through the general election noise today. First the post itself:

He is not going to nuke North Korea. Give me a break. You people are so gullable
He wanted to use a nuclear bomb to stop a hurricane. He asked this question his first term: What’s the use of having nuclear weapons if we can’t use them?”

He’s dangerously ignorant, mentally ill and in decline.

In the new section of the book, due to be published next week, The New York Times' Washington correspondent adds: "What scared Kelly even more than the tweets was the fact that behind closed doors in the Oval Office, Trump continued to talk as if he wanted to go to war. He cavalierly discussed the idea of using a nuclear weapon against North Korea, saying that if he took such an action, the administration could blame someone else for it to absolve itself of responsibility."

The reveal about you and your motivation in this forum is you keep crying wolf to protect the actual wolf, while trying to convince the participants, it’s just a small dumpster fire in DC…”nothing to see here, move along”.

    IMG_3612.jpeg
Well based on whom you nominated to run against this “wolf”, you treated this like a small dumpster fire instead of the existential threat you claimed it would be. Next time run a better candidate and a better campaign. Obviously, in the mind of the voter, the choice you offered wasn’t much better than the alternative. Whose fault is that?

It’s like blaming the ref or the other team because the game didn’t turn out like you wanted when the reality is that you didn’t bring your “A” game. I’m wondering how long it will take for folks like you to figure that out.

This man either lies his arse off daily with the intent of manipulating the gullible, or does not live in reality. I lean to the latter. Worse than that, 70m thought he was the best choice. 😳
It's really hard to tell anymore. I think it's some of both. He loves lying, but he also thinks it's reality.

    Not pretending.
Just defending my point that Biden and Trump are different men with totally different "issues" and thus apples to oranges rather than apples to apples.
It is wrong to say that Trump is "declining" the same way Biden surely declined.

You Republicans love to lie to yourselves. Trump's brain is cooked. He's declining faster than a roller coaster just past its high point. That's not even debatable at this point. He doesn’t know reality from his own self concocted delusions.

What is your source for this? How come when I watch World News Tonight with David Muir (spelling?) I never anything like this? ABC leans left ( not as much as CNBC...but left never the less)

Trump said in the past that he wants America's adversaries to fear him and feel uneasy
...."What will President Trump do?". This ridiculous stuff about nuking North Korea COULD be a deliberate strategy relating to that desire of his.

Kind of a dangerous "joke" wouldn't you say so. Especially since Kelly wrote that behind closed doors it was considered as a real alternative. Since that was "closed doors" your theory do not fit the story.

It's like you telling me you going to fire bomb my car if I walk on your grass. And you tell me this in front of all the neighbors.

Then the next day I walk on your grass.

    What do you do?

Well, the entire concept is not merely stupid but suicidal. No one can win a nuclear war, no one. The damage would never be limited to one strike. Defending the indefensible is a characteristic of the RW.

Oh, let’s don’t forget that it alienates our allies as well.

Trump isn’t merely stupid, he is a psychologically damaged person whose cheese has slid off of his burger.

Expecting to get this type of information on a 30 minute daily news program is pointless. You have to actually read articles and/or books to get this type of information.

But I see in your next post you’ve already moved on to the MAGA first line of defense when Trump says something stupid or unhinged - “He didn’t really mean it, or it was part of his strategy”.

This was widely reported at the time.

    North Korea:

“Behind closed doors in 2017, President Donald Trump discussed the idea of using a nuclear weapon against North Korea and suggested he could blame a U.S. strike against the communist regime on another country, according to a new section of a book that details key events of his administration.

Trump's alleged comments, reported for the first time in a new afterword to a book by New York Times Washington correspondent Michael Schmidt, came as tensions between the U.S. and North Korea’s Kim Jong-un escalated, alarming then-White House chief of staff John Kelly.

The new section of "Donald Trump v. the United States," obtained by NBC News ahead of its publication in paperback Tuesday, offers an extensive examination of Kelly’s life and tenure as Trump's chief of staff from July 2017 to January 2019. Kelly previously was Trump's secretary of homeland security. For the account, Schmidt cites in part dozens of interviews on background with former Trump administration officials and others who worked with Kelly.”

“Kelly brought the military’s top leaders to the White House to brief Trump about how war between the U.S. and North Korea could easily break out, as well as the enormous consequences of such a conflict. But the argument about how many people could be killed had "no impact on Trump," Schmidt writes.

Kelly then tried to point out that there would be economic repercussions, but the argument held Trump’s attention for only so long, according to the afterword.

Then, Trump "would turn back to the possibility of war, including at one point raising to Kelly the possibility of launching a preemptive military attack against North Korea," Schmidt said.

Kelly warned that Trump would need congressional approval for a pre-emptive strike, which "baffled and annoyed" Trump, according to the afterword.”

The above is from an NBC article, but it is quoting a book.

I remember hearing this on morning Joe during Trumps first term. Joe Scarborough was a Republican when he made these
comments. Trump is still the same unhinged lunatic who doesn't have a clue.
