There is a weird convergence of people here who think Trump is Hitler and also think Biden is fine mentally.

It sounds like those people don't live in reality and only know the world through what the corporate media tells them.

Not one person has said Trump is Hitler. As for Biden, people have said he's getting older and he's admittedly not as sharp as he once was, no one has denied that. Whether he's 100% fine mentally, I don't know, but he's still better than anything Trump has to offer.

Of course, I'd vote for the dog catcher over Trump.

Raising alarm is fine, and logical.

It's not a question of logic, it's a question of prudence, "caution or circumspection as to danger or risk." Trump and the people around him are very dangerous. They themselves remind us every day how dangerous they are. They themselves tell us and show us they admire the fascist Nazi's. They are following the Nazi's and every fascists playbook and that is not a coincidence. It's intentional on their part.

Does that mean they are actually the Nazi's and Hitler? Duhh, obviously not, because they aren't the same actual people. Does that mean they are just as dangerous as Hitler and the Nazi's? You bet your shiny metal arse it does.

You're making all the same appeasement arguments for Trump that people made in Europe regarding Hitler and the Nazi's. That appeasement is the only reason Hitler and the Nazi's were able to seize power and do what they did. The appeasement enabled them and here you are making the same arguments those appeasers did which only serves to enable Trump and those around him, regardless of if that's your desire and intention or not.

It's bizarre to hear you, the same person who has no problem accusing Biden of assisting the Israeli's in committing genocide, argue against calling Trump out for what Trump has said himself. I said that people aren’t smart enough to know the difference between the two. I never said that people are saying that Trump is Hitler.

Within the last 3 pages there have been ample examples of measured responses where people drew similarities between Trump and Hitler.

We are about to see (after this assassination attempt) if things will change for both his campaign, and for the public’s perception of him.

Trump is uniquely dangerous amongst American politicians and we've already seen some of the ramifications of that play out.. but yeah, what he is stands alone and so just leave out all of the comparisons.

I largely agree except that using what happened in Germany to compare is a valid exercise. Saying Trump IS Hitler - well, that isn’t a good idea, But there a quite a few parallels.

Good grief, you need to take a debate class or maybe English. They know the difference. You know the difference. Trump is on record as having read and admired some of the things Hitler did. Go look it up. Does that make him Hitler? No, but it does make people wonder why he's saying stuff like that. If you don't think that's a big deal, then ok. I'd disagree as I think some of Trump's rhetoric is terrible and a reminiscent of dictators.

And fwiw, I don't care to make comparisons with Hitler because it just muddies discussions. I'll just say Trump is a terrible human who has sexually harassed and assaulted multiple women, is a chronic liar and doesn't give a sheet about the country. He only cares about himself. And how he treats people who disagree with him like sheet is telling.

And I'll never, ever forgive him for J6th because I was working at the Captol at the time. Never felt safe there after that happened. Fork him for doing that.
