    Ok the rules:
    • Your post can only contain one department and guess.
    • You may post more than once for different departments.
    • Post can contain comments about previous guesses.
    • Guesses for one department can be used for other departments.
    • Minds can, of course, be changed.
I will kick things off first...

    Secretary of State: Susan Rice

This is as clear a choice as there can be. She has all of the credentials and rep to begin healing as relationships with our allies.

All joking aside, this Foxnews article has a decent idea of certain positions.

Biden's closest advisers remain establishment Democrats. They include Ron Klain, Biden's chief of staff from his time as vice president; Anita Dunn, an Obama alumnus and grizzled veteran of Democratic politics; and Mike Donilon, who's worked on a slew of Democratic campaigns dating back decades.

Klain, according to The Washington Post, is a favorite for chief of staff, though Rep. Cedric Richmond, D-La., is in contention as well, according to the Post.

Others mentioned besides Warren for the treasury post include Lael Brainard, Roger Ferguson and Rhode Island Gov. Gina Raimondo, according to the Post. All three of those names would be far more moderate than Warren and roil the political left.

California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, who has been highly litigious against the Trump administration, is considered a possibility for U.S. attorney general, according to the Post, which also reports Obama alumnus Alejandro Mayorkas may be in contention to head the Department of Homeland Security.

Former Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg could be the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, the Post reported. That slot is often a place for rising political stars in need of national-level experience. Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley held that slot under the Trump administration. Politico also reported Buttigieg, a military veteran, may be under consideration to run the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Meanwhile, according to the Post, former National Security Adviser Susan Rice and Biden aide Antony Blinken are under consideration for secretary of state.

For secretary of education, Politico reported former National Education Association President Lily Eskelsen Garcia; former American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten and Stanford University Prof. Linda Darling-Hammond are possibilities.

Pete as US ambassador to the UN could be interesting. He does speak like 7 or 8 languages.

    Bernie . Secretary of Labor
Only if there is an assurance that he would be replaced appropriately so that the Dems don't lose a seat. They have a Republican Governor so I wouldn't risk it.

I'm going to suggest somebody who stands a slightly more than zero chance because of a variety of reasons.

    Baldemar Velasquez

He's educated, crafty, and is involved with the United Nations' International Labour Organization. He understands OSHA, etc and he's actually participated in the labor arena.

The DNC's corporate overlords would never allow it though.

My guess is that they'll choose the CEO of a company with an interest in supressing wages, benefits, and dismantling safety protections for employees.

    And this will be interesting.

Of course, the article does pose the question, if they'll go the 'acting route' like Trump has to bypass the Senate.
Santorum pushed back when someone suggested on CNN that McConnell might do that. He crowed how presidents are always allowed to pick their cabinets, so McConnell would let Biden pick his cabinet. Santorum is part of the Republican liars and thieves guild.

I know it's not his cabinet but the President has a lot to say about the DNC Chair.

Stacey Abrams all day every day. The women knows how to build a political operation.

I said this earlier today to my daughter. She turned Georgia blue. I think she would be great at developing "boots on the ground" organization in the deep south. It is time for the Democratic Party to just write off the south to the Republican party.

I predicted Susan Rice as Chief of Staff after Harris was selected as the VP candidate (now VP-elect).

Yeah. Biden was dead in the water after the Iowa caucuses. Jim Clyburn came out in support of Biden before SC and he went on to win. If it wasn’t for his endorsement he wouldn’t have gotten through the primary let alone to the White House

Stacy Abrams isn't done yet. IIRC any Georgia resident who turns 18 before January 5 would be eligible to vote in the runoff if they register before a certain date.

With Kamala otherwise occupied (the absolute best choice) I’d like to see Julian Castro for Attorney General. He had some really good ideas on police and justice reform that he could drive as AG.

    I can live with that.

As for a cabinet position I'd go with Colin Powell for SecDef. I would have liked Colin Powell, but he's getting up there in age. Maybe bring Mattis back? He was no fan of Trump, and he knows all the ins and outs of DOD.

Look, we could probably save a lot of money and just make Doug Emhoff head of Kamala's security detail.

    Who is Doug Emhoff?
