Economists have said it would tank the economy and cause inflation - notwithstanding the cost.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump’s administration said Tuesday that it will move to withhold SNAP food aid from recipients in most Democratic-controlled states starting next week unless they provide information about those receiving the assistance.

Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins said at a Cabinet meeting Tuesday that the action is in the works because those states are refusing to provide data the department requested such as the names and immigration status of the aid recipients.

She said the cooperation is necessary in order to root out fraud in the program. Democratic states have sued to block the requirement.

About 42 million lower-income Americans, or 1 in 8, rely on SNAP to help buy groceries. The average monthly benefit is about $190 per person, or a little over $6 a day.

The program is not normally in the political spotlight, but it has been this year……..

The administration is lying about attacks on federal officers. A really thorough breakdown by the LA Times. In one case a prosecutor wielded a weapon they said was used as a “sword” against a federal officer. It was a small umbrella that weighed less than 1 pound, and the officer, who was wearing body armor, was uninjured. Not even a bruise.

Most (just over 50%) of the officers who were “attacked” suffered no injuries. Another 30% suffered only minor injuries and bruises. The administration is saying that attacks on federal officers are up 1200%, the number is more like 25% and includes a raft of assault charges filed in early January on Jan 6 offenders, which have all been pardoned or dismissed.

There have been some serious attacks, but the administration is definitely lying about the prevalence in order to justify its strong arm tactics. We have seen multiple cases where it is proven that the federal agents are lying about the actions of protestors, and when the agents themselves have been the aggressors.

KKK membership is estimated to be in the low thousands nationwide. Like 8,000-10,000. In the entire country.

So let’s look at hate groups in general. SPLC estimates the number of hate groups in the US each year, I found this year’s estimate on NBC:

So they also said that the number of members in each group averages about 30. 1371x30=41,130 people involved in hate groups.

That’s a pretty small number, and it includes all races.

But to someone in one of those hate groups, it seems like a lot more people are in those hate groups.

Because Blacks and Latinos don't get along. They are two of the angriest demographic blocs. White men may be the angriest and most pissed off, but Blacks and Latinos have a temper problem.

Latinos have said antiblack things in the past and that is going to cause a lot of tension for this country. They tend to fight a lot in the jails. Black women tend to not want to see their sons with Latina women, etc.
