What happens to the Republican Party now?

This election nonsense by Trump may end up splitting up the Republican Party. I just don’t see how the one third (?) who are principled conservatives can stay in the same party with Trump sycophants who are willing to sign onto the TX Supreme Court case.

We also saw the alt right types chanting “destroy the GOP” in Washington today because they didn’t keep Trump in power. I think the Q types will also hold the same ill will toward the traditional Republican Party. In fact its quite possible that all the voters who are really in a Trump personality cult will also blame the GOP for his loss. It’s only a matter of time IMO before Trump himself gets around to blaming the GOP.

This country is tribalistic. The Right is tribalistic on meth. There are multiple reasons why.

I first learned about it in a psychology article.. I think around 2015 (trying to make sense of trump and his cult of personality). And it was about belief, and how many people who BELIEVE in things (even when faced with factual proof of the contrary) will tend to dig their heels in even more and not budge on those set beliefs. For some people, belief is more important/stronger than fact/reality.

to this article around 34% consider themselves moderate and there isn't much difference in moderate
democrats and republicans. Both can work together in a Bi partisan manner and compromise.
