Trump says Brees will regret apologizing for National Anthem protests.

Nearly two weeks after New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees distanced himself from the praise of President Donald Trump in regards to his first stance on protesting during the national anthem, Trump said Brees will "regret" apologizing.

In an interview with his son, Donald Trump, Jr., on the Team Trump YouTube page, President Trump said Brees' first statement — the now-infamous "I will never agree with anybody disrespecting the flag of the United States of America or our country" line to Yahoo Finance — was a "beautiful statement."

"Proud of the flag. Proud of the country. Proud of everything," Trump said. "Talked about his father and his grandfather serving and then the following day, was almost like ‘I take it back.’ "

I doubt he regrets a thing and is a better man for what he did.

Of course he is disappointed.

but its not with that Drew apologized. Its that Drew showed more character than Trump in that moment.

Thats what bugs Trump.

I wonder where the overwhelming condemnation from past and present NFL players are after Desean Jackson antisemitic remarks? I guess this makes Jackson a neo nazi and white supremacist? Jenkins was a past teammate, right? I wonder why he hasn't cried on camera for the world to publicly shame his old WR? Brave new world indeed.

Well, it seems a few actually might support him, overall hugley different reaction.

They intervewed Bob Costas last night on CNN and I agree with him 100%. The league should look into this just like they would any other matter detrimental to the brand and make a decision.

That fine, we know the NFL will is all about protecting the shield.

I am just wondering where and when the sudden and deafening condemnation is going to come from his peers? If someone goes on social media crying about injustice, racism toward minority groups enough to get hired by CNN and then you are quite as a non-denominational church inhabiting mouse about actual racism, not an opinion about the flag or kneeling, then you are a fraud, plain and simple.

Edit: Edelman did say something. He is Jewish so he had too?n Apparently they will have a lunch date to discuss it. Meanwhile Brees had to hire more security because he didn't want to kneel and received death threats. Yeah, it all the same.

Trump is correct. Viewership for the NFL will be an all time low this year. Count on it.

Given that there might not be a season or a reduced season, I’d say that’s a pretty good bet.
funny. The nfl, nba and nascar have given the finger to the people who pay for tickets. They will try and sell their future downfalls one Covid, but I don’t think that holds water. We can compare the way nhl, mlb and UFC have handled the sjws vs nba, nfl and nascar.

I can tell you Dana White isn’t pandering to the sjw crowd and they are rolling.
