Is this a joke? Dr Oz? Matt Gaetz??? Really scraping the bottom of the swamp here.

My parents are big Trumpets and they are retired and on Medicaid. I wonder how they feel about Dr Oz....that quack doctor from TV.....suddenly being a very important person in their lives. Unfortunately we can't talk about these topics because they can't handle it.

He will solve the health crisis like Kushner solved the middle east.
Please let them know that Oz wants to slash Medicaid in particular but also Medicare. He doesn’t think people who cannot afford it have a right to healthcare. He wants to make healthcare for people like your parents slashed to bare bones - quickie physicals and nothing else.

I won't write the same reply again but no, I am
100% ready for America to get what she deserves.

We voted for this. I am here for the total chaos and destruction we wrought.

You reap what you sew.

By a slim margin; millions of us didn't vote for him. We have to suffer, too. Probably easier for you to take up this position, from Oregon, than how things look for us in other parts of the country.

I'm not completely detached from what you're saying, though, as I'm resigned to the belief that this needs to be terrible for any hope of killing off momentum for far right politics. That's a gamble, though, and I'm not entirely sure it will matter, even for those of you in Blue States, ultimately.

I mean, more people voted for this than didn't. It wasn't particularly close.

So it is what people wanted. So let them have it.

As a 25 year sober recovering addict and a 14 year sober recovering alcoholic the one thing I can tell you is, you have to hit your rock bottom before you can recover.

The AP currently has him with about a 1.5 million advantage over Harris, and I think total votes cast puts him at just under 50%, though I won't make a favorable case for those who voted for Stein and Kennedy.

It's crushing that Trump won at all, but he didn't win with some overwhelming mandate.

I understand the impulse and like I said, I can even see that it might be our last flicker of hope, but "we" didn't vote for him. It is true that we - all of us - will suffer.

If the first Trump admin, the pandemic, and January 6th wasn’t rock bottom buckle up

Iirc, it was Mussolini, the orginal fascist, who said fascism is the merger of state and corporation.

While the coming deportation debacle, the hate speech, misogyny et al are vile, the cabinet selections plus Musk and Ramasmarmy are the hallmarks of fascism.

Just checked - he's got 76.6 million to her 74.1 he's up over 2.5 million votes.

Even if you gave her every third party vote, she still loses.

Even worse - Trump got 2.5 million more votes than he got against Biden. After 1/6. After convictions. After impeachments. And on and on.

He did better than he had ever done.

So for now, I'm living up here in my Liberal utopia watching the rest burn until he sends Blackwater pretending to be National Guard back in.

Sorry, but this hits one of my pet peeves - it’s “sow”. Reaping and sowing go together as in you have to harvest what you plant. Sewing is stitching something together like a garment. I get your frustration, though. I have those thoughts also - because I know I will be okay. I just cannot fathom that so many people are so cruel. But everyday I see them acting out on social media. It’s heartbreaking. 💔

Marc Elias thinks the GOP senators will confirm every pick. Because they’re cowards.
