This is a really good article, IMO. I think it misses the effect of the cultural issues in the portion of Trump’s support that seems scandal proof, but it hits on other factors that are equally responsible for his unwavering support.

I agree. That's why his approval numbers will never drop to Nixon level, even if he is proven beyond a reasonable doubt to have committed crimes. The cultural issues you speak of probably gives him a 10 percent floor, but then you have to tack on the other 25 percent that would claim the crimes were s fabrication by the Democrats or a Deep State conspiracy.

It is as plain as day that the entire Washington establishment is completely corrupt.

The past two going on three years of actively trying to negate the result of a legitimate election is only strongly reinforcing that belief.

Trump is actively attempting to keep his campaign promises which, after decades of the opposite, is all that is required.

Trump putting pressure on the rampant influence peddling as demonstrated by the Biden family is a great thing and he is being subjected to a semi-serious impeachment effort for his trouble.

Hunter Biden is making millions off of Joe’s influence racket and you want people to be outraged about the government buying hotel rooms at Trump properties at market rates.

Geez, I can’t imagine how hard you are going to take it when I break the news that Ivanka has been gobbling up patents in China off the back of her father(even getting trade exceptions carved out for her), Don Jr. was advertising meetings with himself and his father as a prize for pre-purchasing property in Trump Tower India, Jared Kushner was conducting personal business with the Saudi Prince during official trips, and Trump himself has been funneling money into his personal business since getting the nomination. Including using the office to advertise his business and nudge foreign heads of state to stay at his properties.

And you are really going to be crushed when you find out more Trump positions and nominees have been filled with lobbyists or former employees/representatives of the industries they are regulating or overseeing than any administration in history.

...I’m so sorry to break this news that almost certainly is going to break your unyielding support of Trump as a fighter of corruption because there is no way you would excuse away your clearly sincere concerns about corruption, influence peddling and possible conflicts of interest.

Honest questions: How or why is Joe Biden corrupt? What exactly has he done that is corrupt?

From everything I’ve read, Joe’s son got some jobs because of his name and who his father is. That’s it, that’s all there is. The rest is crazy conspiracy theory stuff that’s been totally debunked and belongs in trash bin with Pizza-gate.

Oh and trading on daddy’s money and influence is Donald Trump’s life story. He used his dad’s influence to dodge the draft and his dad’s money to get rich. His kids are trading on daddy’s influence right now.

Trump’s desire to root out “corruption” is laser focused only on his political rivals. He’s actually pretty much okay with Republican corruption, apparently. He just wants to smear someone he is afraid he would lose the election to.
