What time is the debate, and who is moderating?

NBC News is hosting this debate at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County, which begins at 8 p.m. ET and runs two hours. NBC's Lester Holt and Kristen Welker are moderating, along with radio host Hugh Hewitt.


How to watch the Republican debate tonight

The debate will air on NBC stations across the country and stream on NBC News NOW, the outlet's streaming service. It will be available to watch for free on NBCNews.com and stream on Peacock and other services beginning at 8 p.m.


Five candidates qualified for the debate:

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis
Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley
Businessman Vivek Ramaswamy
Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina

Why wouldn't those who hate us and want us harmed not take advantage of the incredibly crappy job the Biden Administration has done at the southern border?
........and btw, Senator Tim Scott is very improved compared to the previous two debates.
Vivek is annoying.
Whenever it is his turn to talk I think I will toggle back and forth between a hockey game and the debate.

Because contrary to the xenophobia, misinformation, and outright lies what we have is not a flood of illegals slipping into the country. What we have is a flood of migrants who declare asylum, are taken into custody, and given a court date. These people are coming in and intentionally being “caught” to declare asylum, which makes them legal. That's not a weakness terrorists can exploit.

The border isn't wide open. That's nonsense. I think our asylum laws are screwed up and being abused, but it's not what the fearmongerers are telling you.

None of these candidates are really inspiring.

I didn't watch the whole thing, but Chris Christie seemed the most sensible... which of course means he has 0 chance within his party lol

I'll say this a million time, people that vote for Republicans are the real problem in this country and the reason we continue to backslide. Those jackholes on that stage are just their projections. Perfectly exemplified by the cheering from the crowd.
