You really have to wonder what it takes to get some people to slow down and really consider whether the narrative they have heard over the last few years is true.

There is a lot to dig into, but it seems like it would be enough to at least slow down upon learning that:

The FBI prosecuted Flynn for lying to them in an interview. The original 302 of that meeting went "poof" and can't be found. The handwritten notes from that meeting likewise have disappeared.

There are a lot of other facts (read SFL's posts) that bolster the case that this was entrapment for political reasons, but I thought I would highlight those points.

Ok...let's try to find some common ground, starting here.

--The FBI prosecuted Flynn for lying to them in an interview.
--Flynn pleaded guilty and stated that he did lie to the FBI in his interview.
--Flynn stated that he knew it was wrong to lie to the FBI.

So, is there any reason to believe that Flynn did not lie to the FBI in an interview? This is a simple yes or no question. So, can you answer it either yes or no? After that, feel free to expound.

It may be that you simply can't help yourself, but you did not need to break out the drama. Yes, there are reasons to believe that Flynn did not lie in the interview.

You can start with what the FBI said in a draft interview memo:

Flynn stated it was possible that he talked to Kislyak on the issue, but if he did, he did not remember doing so.

    That's hardly a denial.

You might also look to the opinions of the agents themselves, who documented that they did not believe Flynn intended to lie or to be deceptive.

Also, my understanding is that during the meeting they actually discussed the fact that the agents had a transcript of the call. If that is accurate, it really makes no sense that Flynn would lie to them.

And then you have the fact that they were not simply squeezing Flynn on the allegations they made against him, they felt the need to threaten to prosecute his son if he did not agree to a plea. What's more - the prosecutors lied about using this tactic but that lie was exposed through internal correspondence.

I think a reasonable person would also conclude that the mysterious disappearance of the documentation of the meeting is "reason to believe" that Flynn did not lie. It was obviously a high profile case, and the inability or refusal to turn over documentation, that was in the FBI's control, concerning the very interview which is at issue, IMO gives rise to an interference that the documentation did not support the FBI's allegations.

It was his right to have a lawyer. He declined.

And why does Hillary have one damn thing to do with any of this? Oh that is right she is the boogie man.

LOL. This entire investigation around the Trump team was set up using Russia as a boogie man, so it's funny of you to say that.

Keep focused on this brother. Rather than the lack of not only leadership but common sense if this administration that has infected staff. Common sense and all the power in the us government you shouldn't have a out break in your staff.

Someone will blame Hillary for this also.

Mike Flynn made it to the rank of LTG! Not a stupid man by any stretch of the imagination yet everyone claims he was bamboozled? He did not have a lawyer because he didn't want one. Not hoodwinked. He took money from Turkey to do shady stuff on his own. He contacted the Russians on his own and he certainly understands the rules of that because he is a LTG and not an idiot.

So by taking that bamboozled stance you are in turn saying that the upper management of our armed forces are not qualified and we need to look at that first and foremost because they are a bunch of exceptionally slow humans.

It is your stance so what is it? Is he stupid or not?

I would think his life's work tells you he is not stupid.

Your posts are so all over the place it's hard to understand your point. You refuse to comment specifically on how the Mueller prosecutor withheld evidence that totally contradicted their case and lied to the judge. You just keep saying he wasn't stupid. Can you point out what you claim was illegal or wrong about his call with the Russian ambassador? How is asking Russia not to retaliate after the sanctions wrong?

Can you please stop telling people that we should only be talking about Covid and that we shouldn't talk about this subject? You are aware that there have been huge new developments and information about Flynn and the Russia investigation recently right?

So I guess you are of the camp we have complete and total morons at LTG of our armed forces then?

Our armed forces are full of guys that would fall for anything?

OMG, you are still repeating the same thing and you refuse talk about the new developments. I'm done responding to your posts in this and the Flynn thread unless you can discuss things like an adult.

You are the one calling Flynn a traitor and Taylor's article doesn't show that he's a traitor either. Flynn was involved in some questionable things, but none of those things were related to Russia or the election. Taylor's article is wrong on at least one point.

Flynn didn't "promised to rip up sanctions against Russia."
That was what Democrat Elijah Cummings claimed.

That's not what my article said Flynn did.

    What new developments?

He did crooked things and lied about it. Just at because a lackie like Barr lets him off it doesn't change that he did stuff that he knew was illegal and lied.

Or are you of the camp he is a complete and total idiot that got tricked and did not know his rights

Yes it did. I just looked at it again. You said that in the 2nd to last paragraph.

Also, why didn't your article talk about how the Mueller prosecutor Van Grack lied to judge Sullivan and withheld evidence that contradicted his case against Flynn? That seems like 2 huge details to leave out of your article.

Your post pasted a bunch of Twitter posts that make assertions. Twitter is crap. If there is evidence, post the direct links, not Twitter posts by twits. All I’ve read from you is nitpicking about things that aren’t perfect. In your world, prisons would be empty, because most prosecutions aren’t perfect. That’s why both sides have lawyers to nitpick, but then jurors look over the complete record to make a judgement. Nothing you’ve said is convincing me that Flynn isn’t a traitor. Barr is a Trump lackey that is doing everything he can to cover Trump’s tracks, so recent DOJ statements are now suspect. Flynn worked for Russia and Turkey on policies that were contrary to US interest. He knew and no way he didn’t remember this. He deserves to go to jail for a long time.

Those Twitter posts that I posted had screenshots of the DOJ's motion to dismiss Flynn's charges, official court documents, and the under oath testimonies from Schiff's committee. If you want to ignore that evidence that goes against what you think happened then that's on you.

I can almost guarantee you won't be able to answer this question specifically but let's see. Can you explain exactly how Flynn was working for Russia? You know in the phone call with the Russian ambassador Flynn asked him to not escalate anything in response to the sanctions right?

Why is no one on your side of the fence discussing the actual charges that were brought against Flynn? At best, we hear conclusory statements that "he lied." I am not hearing any analysis whatsoever as to how you all reached that conclusion or why the DOJ is wrong in moving to dismiss the charges it brought.
