I fear we are really going to be in a bad place due to the obvious cuts to the federal agencies that deal with infectious disease, but also the negative effect the Affordable Care act has had on non urban hospitals. Our front line defenses are ineffectual and our ability to treat the populous is probably at an all time low. Factor in the cost of healthcare and I can see our system crashing. What do you think about the politics of this virus?

Name 1 lie just 1. Sure he is using those words because that’s what he is supposed to say. Would you like it better if he said that things were terrible? As far as him being a buffoon I personally can’t think of a billionaire tha is a buffoon. To top that he beat the so called smartest woman in the world to become president. Ok sure he seems like a buffoon...:duncan::duncan:
“I have always known. This is a real pandemic. I felt it was a pandemic long before it was called a pandemic....

“I’ve always viewed it as very serious.”

    - Donald Trump, March 17

[the virus] “is contained” and “under control.”

    “It’s going to disappear”

“We have very little problem in this country”

“15 people, and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero, that’s a pretty good job we’ve done.”

I didn’t say falsely accused the article did. For the rest....

You realize your first link ultimately concludes that much of the criticism is rooted in truth and acknowledges there are a lot of lies and cruelty coming from the Trump administration, correct? That just focused on the incorrect exaggerations or unverified allegations against him? So that in no way supports your claim that the president hasn’t lied.

And if Snopes is a trusted source, they are a trusted source amirite?

Trump's budget proposals have cut the CDC. Congress pushes back, but Trump keeps trying to cut the CDC every year, or just ignores programs that are about to lose their funding. Trump started proposing cuts to the NIH and CDC from his first budget. The only reason funding hasn't been cut more is due to bi-partisan support from congress, despite Trump. Here is an article about Trump's first budget impacting the NIH and CDC from 2017:

China's best buddy is getting a little frustrated by the numbers between towing the company line and pushing Chinese propaganda.
Well if China actually lost over 40k people, and only had 82k cases, then that's a 50% death rate, while their numbers indicate about a 4.3% death rate. South Korea's death rate is sitting at about 3%, and does anyone think their numbers are falsified? I find it hard to believe that China's numbers would be that much higher, unless they just started killing people that were sick, which is possible. It could be that China was unprepared, and had massively higher deaths.

If China did lie about the number of deaths, then would it not make sense that they lied about the number of cases, too, making it many times what was reported?

    You actually believe China's numbers?

    You actually believe China's numbers?
No. The numbers come from the article that theorize that their actual fatalities are over 42k, which is over 50% fatality rate. China is only reporting 3.6k deaths. I think that’s low, but i’ll Be shocked if it actually exceeds 40k.

Yes, that’s probably true. They probably have much more than 82k cases. Since the expected fatality rate is probably 5%, if they actually had 40k cases, then it is reasonable to think they had 1M cases. However, I have no idea how they would’ve been able to cope with that in that one region. Hard to know if they actually just had a huge death rate due to triaging them with the reported cases or were able to somehow handle a huge unreported case load.

Here is a feel good story about some hard working people from Ohio making a real difference.

Honestly, any honest person would take that on on the face as correct. So there is not a bacteria that we know about Staph?
