Think she'll end up as a VP candidate? Stranger things have happened.

Literally nobody cares about this but [Mod Edit - Trump supporters.]

As to her being his VP, I don't think she'd be a good fit. She definitely deserves a spot in his administration if he wins. And I'd expect if someone beats Trump, they'll actually have a cabinet of full time department heads who don't get fired like a game of duck duck goose only to leave the spot vacant or filled with an "acting" head whose #1 job qualification is loyalty, regardless of anything else. You know, like a functioning Presidential Cabinet.

Going young, accomplished, clean, minority/female would be some criteria to start with.

I think that whoever is nominated as Biden's running mate at the convention will need to be someone who can remain a credible and viable candidate in the event that Biden can't actually last as the candidate through election day in November. Whether that is because of some Access Hollywood style October surprise involving misconduct with women, some Hillary Clintonesque FBI investigation that Bob Barr has no doubt already put into motion, or because his declining mental state becomes more obvious the more he is exposed to public performances. (Yes, I know that none of that ever has or ever will stop Trump.)

If Obama claims executive privilege on those documents, is that grounds for impeachment?
I think we all learned recently that if anyone mentioned in that investigation does not volunteer to come forward and testify under oath in front of the committee then they are indeed guilty. If they are innocent, they should be beating down the door to testify to prove their innocence. Its logic, or so we have been told.

If the nominee ends up being Biden, I would think Ideally that he would want to pick somebody that was young and has some credibility with Hispanic and women voters. I don't know who that is but I like Julian Castro and Warren. Abrams would be a great pick, but I don't know how she would help him grow his appeal/electorate.

I doubt Bernie would accept a VP nomination and I doubt Biden would offer it.

Yeah, if Biden wins the nomination, it'll definitely be interesting to see which route he'll take on a running mate. Abrams is too green in my opinion and wouldn't bring him much more support than he's already getting. Castro would likely bring the Hispanic vote, but not much else. And would Biden bring him on the ticket after he questioned his mental capacity at the debate. Beto would rally the gun rights enthusiast into full war mode. Kamala might chase some people off. Progressives won't forgive Warren if she endorses Biden and get on the ticket. And they probably won't care for Mayor Pete either.

I don't see Bernie as a VP candidate, but I can see the Biden campaign allowing Bernie to play kingmaker to a degree by picking a VP candidate. That would be a way to get some of the more progressive wing to have some enthusiasm for Biden.

And let's face it, the VP candidate for a President Biden is going to be pretty important given his age and what appears to me to be a decline in overall function.

I agree. Biden needs to make an honest, public offer. Let Bernie claim his voice is needed in the Senate and suggest the best VP. Dems need to believe Bernie got a real offer and real say in who is the VP. Option 2 - WoC brings risks, but it may be the best chance to get out the black vote.

I think black Americans are already going to be pretty enthusiastic about Biden (as in I think they will have a pretty good turnout). I think Biden will need to either pick someone that the progressives can get behind enthusiastically - to capture Bernie's base and get them to turn out, or someone to shore up the Mid-west.

His VP candidate is going to be pretty important given his age and the fact that he definitely seems to have lost a step.
