Didn't really see a place for this so I thought I would start a thread about all things LGBTQ since this is a pretty hot topic in our culture right now

The Supreme Court on Thursday delivered a unanimous defeat to LGBT couples in a high-profile case over whether Philadelphia could refuse to contract with a Roman Catholic adoption agency that says its religious beliefs prevent it from working with same-sex foster parents.
Chief Justice John Roberts wrote in an opinion for a majority of the court that Philadelphia violated the First Amendment by refusing to contract with Catholic Social Services once it learned that the organization would not certify same-sex couples for adoption.

I will admit, I was hopeful for this decision by the SCOTUS but I was surprised by the unanimous decision.

While I don't think there is anything wrong, per se, with same sex couples adopting and raising children (I actually think it is a good thing as it not an abortion) but I also did not want to see the state force a religious institution to bend to a societal norm.

Also available in Ojo Caliente , NM. In natural hot spring pools dug by Native Americans centuries ago. One of my favorite places to vacation in the winter. Sitting in 104-degree water in a steaming pool while it's snowing outside with the sun setting...pretty awesome.

I lived in Colorado for a while and spent time in NM. Loved it. Not sure why I never moved there?

There is nothing like catching trout on hoppers and saying hello to the nude women the next run over....

Trans people are using the bathroom of the gender they identify with, have been doing it for years, maybe decades. You would be forcing them to use the other bathroom.

You may want to try the "get over it" line with other subjects and see how it goes.

"I was born with a penis but I am a woman!". Get over it.
"My great great grandfather was a slave!". Get over it.

So, just to be clear, you are ok with the statement women should just " get over it" when strangers expose their penises to them. Is that a correct statement?

Like I said before, I should be surprised that no one wants to say anything about the "get over it" comment, but I am not. I will use the "get over it" comment myself, see how it works out for me.

These folks do not belong in a men’s public restroom. I have been going into women’s public restrooms my entire life. I have never seen anyone’s pubic region - not even once. I do not understand why anyone would force these women to use a mens room. What is the point?
