This election nonsense by Trump may end up splitting up the Republican Party. I just don’t see how the one third (?) who are principled conservatives can stay in the same party with Trump sycophants who are willing to sign onto the TX Supreme Court case.

We also saw the alt right types chanting “destroy the GOP” in Washington today because they didn’t keep Trump in power. I think the Q types will also hold the same ill will toward the traditional Republican Party. In fact its quite possible that all the voters who are really in a Trump personality cult will also blame the GOP for his loss. It’s only a matter of time IMO before Trump himself gets around to blaming the GOP.

There is some discussion of this on Twitter. What do you all think?

I am disappointed with this forum. I hoped to have some conservative friends to talk to....but it seems I am surrounded by liberals who just want to put ME on the defensive.

There used to be more... I guess what some refer to as conservative these days. Many of them seemed to flame out and get banned.
I'm curious, what do you personally consider is conservative? what do you consider as liberal? Are you talking about modern day conservative?
I do kind of wish @Richard would post more often on here though. He is an old-school conservative and would make some really thought provoking posts on here from time to time.

The only thing philosophical Conservatism and Trumpism have in common is...uhm...a distaste for gun control?

Nope don't think that is what it is I would love to be enlightened you said you liked results.

You said Once he got in office I liked the policies and the results he got here at home as well as interntionally...

    What exactly?

A bankruptcy lawyer as the ambassador to Israel? That move was utterly pathetic to appoint his personal bankruptcy lawyer to one of the most important ambassador jobs on earth. Did you like that?

Or maybe you were happy with the screwing over our friends the Kurds to make Turkey happy because he personally has hotels in Istanbul? Did you like the slaughter of the Kurds?

That is just a couple international things could bring up more but figured would start slow.

Steve this is john after reading your initial post and waiting to get approval to post your are correct this appears to be a far left web site. The site is plagued with TDS and regurgitating the usual BS and not interested in facts.

What are some of the things being asserted as fact that you believe to be untrue?

Good luck getting an answer to that question...

People who are willing to vote for a traitor like Trump again in 2024, AFTER he led an insurrection against our government on Jan 6, don't exactly live in the realm of facts.

I don't know John, this is Sam, TDS- (total dissolved solids), regurgitation, and BS-(Bachelor of Science), that all sounds more like freshman chemistry at the U, than it does luffing downwind on a port tack.

    Are these real?

That upper-right one is a poser. If DJT indeed sent me a personal invite would I accept? On the one hand, snubbing him and denying his pathetic need for validation would feel ever so good. On the other, I'd have one opportunity to tell him exactly how I feel about him. (It goes without saying I'd be blocked immediately thereafter)
    Hmmm

I don't know. I was just asking questions. You can answer them if you like.

Really just trying to see what or how the other side thinks.

You can answer if you thought selling out the Kurds was the right thing to do? Heck anything to try and understand the how and why you guys think like you do

”Steve” and “John” cold be real humans. Ooorrrrr…they could be fake accounts set up by troll farms.

Either way I don’t care. Spewing the same old bullschlitz is a waste of bandwidth.

This was tweeted out completely without any sense of irony by someone who calls himself “freespeechnow7”. This level of stupidity makes me despair for all of us. What sort of psychological malfunction makes someone so unaware of their own hypocrisy? How did so many of us fall prey to this lack of self-awareness?

Chances this was also sent to Ted Nugent, James Woods and Jim Caviziel?

about the "not interested in facts" part. This is why I like to try to find the material straight from the source

    example:

Luther is running for House District 62, a Sherman-area seat, where she’s challenging Republican incumbent Rep. Reggie Smith in the March primary. She previously ran for Texas Senate.

    ---
    there is also this:

During the hearing Wednesday, teacher Matt Bockenfeld noted that his class was “learning about the rise of fascism and the rise of Nazism right now,” adding: “I’m just not neutral on the political ideology of fascism. We condemn it, and we condemn it in full.”

The purpose, he said, is to help students “recognize it and combat it. That is why we learn: To use history to make a better world.”

Republican Sen. Scott Baldwin responded: “We need to be impartial.”
