Figured we should start a separate thread on the arrests and those involved in the storming of the Capitol. I know it has been talked about in the other thread a lot, but for the ones who just want to follow the ones arrested and/or charged, this will be an easier way to see updates on the investigations.

Link below is everyone who has been arrested. But we know there will be more.

The website seems to be updated with new information daily.

The ones who are getting the most air time:

Roof, here ya go. I hope this doesn't ruin your day. But i guess you'll say "But its not insurrection!"
Evidence in Capitol riot 'trending towards' sedition charges, prosecutor says
personally believe the evidence is trending towards that and probably meets those elements,” Michael Sherwin, the former acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, said in an interview with CBS News’ Scott Pelley that aired Sunday on “60 Minutes.”

Asked if he expects sedition charges to be brought against some of the suspects, Sherwin said, “I believe the facts do support those charges, and I think that as we go forward, more facts will support that, Scott. This is going to be a long-term investigation.”
Sedition charges, involving conspiring to overthrow the government or hindering the execution of federal law

Is the only reason you're here to act like a clown about the insurrection that occurred on 1/6? I mean, you sign up for an account the day after and have spent months quibbling over the word insurrection. Is life that boring in the UK?

The only 'clowns' here are the Americans that went into a frenzy about this.

And when new information came out those reports were amended. It's almost like this is a developing case where the public isn't privy to all facets all at once.

But yeah, the method of the officer's death is what we should really be focusing on. Those Trump supporters didn't bash his skull in till he died, they just sprayed him with enough bear mace that he died! Totally fine!
How did those anonymous sources get something so wrong yet again? How dare we point out that a huge narrative that was repeated for weeks turned out to be inaccurate? 🙄

Yeah, I'm sure Brits would just sit silently if a bunch of losers stormed Parliament, killed a cop, had more commit suicide over it, 150 other cops seriously hurt and literally spread feces on the walls while being cheered on by the major political party they support.

It's quite ironic that someone who reads Daily KOS is insulting others.

My wife's Uncle was one of the most racists people i knew. He used the N word, he called all Asians Chinamen, put his foot in his mouth once when he was making fun of Puerto Ricans when i told him my family was from Puerto Rico. But that didn't stop him from helping anyone. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone, wouldn't matter the race. He did a lot of donating and charitable work. After the big flood in 2017 in the BR area, he helped a lot of people, race wasn't a factor. BUT, just because he helped indiscriminately, didn't mean he saw everyone as equals. He thought white people were better than every other race, and he acted like that socially.
But he did NOT consider himself racist.

Did other people know he felt this way? or was it just around friends and family? would people have been surprised he was a racist?

Just came across this article and it made me think of this post
    ===================================

....He shared with me that when he was growing up, he heard the N-word every day from his father in his home. Having grown up in the South, I was not surprised. I was first called the N-word when I was 4 years old. I tried hard not to judge the man I was talking to by his father’s standards.

But then he shared that though his father said the N-word frequently in private, he did not act in the same manner in public, and that he would have never wanted anyone to know.

I realized that his dad had something too many in America seem to be abandoning these days. His father had shame. His dad did not want anyone to perceive him as a racist. He might have held prejudices, but he felt it inappropriate to say what was in his heart out loud.

This man — a blue-collar worker who worked hard and sometimes felt America had given up on him — had strong feelings on race, but he was ashamed of those feelings. I understand that. We all sometimes have thoughts we are ashamed of. But this individual made a deliberate effort, a choice, to not publicly offend or attack those who were different from him. I wish he had done the same at home, but that choice still mattered............

That last happened in 2004, and it was believed it was an 'inside job'.

We HAVE had a duty policeman killed whilst defending parliament, but it didn't turn into a Witch hunt ! Mind you, in that incident, the attacker was killed by armed police. (who ARE actually trained in proper firearms use).

It hasn't happened since because we have a competent police force. (to say nothing of MI5 forestalling serious attacks, as opposed to a rabble of protestors.

It was just around family and friends when he spoke that way. He was a sales guy, so i am sure he didn't talk that way in the field. But in the 20 or so years i knew him (he passed away a couple years ago), he never had any shame in it while i was around. Like I said, he made a comment about Puerto Ricans once while i was around, and my wife says, Uncle Danny, his family is from PR. He quickly changed the subject.
He has a son who is worse because he is police officer, except he isn't the kind who will give anyone who will "give the shirt off his back". He works detail at a high school and he always talks about how he loves arresting parents when their kids get in fights because they always have some kind of warrant out on them when they come to pick them up. I can see the joy in his face when he talks about it. I honestly can't stand the guy, but i rarely see him.
When he first wanted to be a cop, he tried to get hired on with the BRPD, but they denied him to the academy because he failed the Psych Exam. He was able to get on with the EBR Sheriff Dept, but he had to work at the prison for a year before he could be a patrol officer.

Who do you think the anonymous source were? Why didn’t the Capitol Police make any public statements?

You mean the huge narrative that he was killed? He's still dead. You know that right? Doesn't matter how you kill someone. Brian Sicknick isn't getting up and walking it off because it was "just" bear mace instead of having his head bashed in. He's dead.

That's those alternative facts they love.
