Um, you did. “V-shaped recovery” is direct from Trump’s mouth. 🤷‍♀️
I think Dave straightened this out, but just to make sure...

Economic recoveries have often been classified by their shape, i..e speed of recovery, if there will be a double dip, or others. A V shape is just the quickest recovery. That's why you hear Trump say it, because that was the hope/goal.

However, there is nothing political about it, it's a proper descriptor for economic recovery.

So, let's all hug it out and make up, and move on. ;)

Take this with a gigantic bag of salt since it’s from a right-leaning news rag... but if this signals the mental and physical decline of Biden, then i have one thing to say: Bring on PRESIDENT Kamala Harris! That’s right, i think she’s an absolute pit bull, and would get tons of good **** done.. Added bonus: I absolutely LOVE anything that p***es off Conservatives/MAGAs, and this would most certainly p*** them off.

New questions over Biden's health as the president, 78, stumbles multiple times up the stairs of Air Force One before falling down: Recovers to give a salute before flying to Atlanta

I suppose a deep, large "U"-shaped prolonged would be the appropriate economic model to describe the slow, gradual worldwide recovery to the Stock Market crash of October 1929 and maybe the Panic of 1907(which almost saw a Great-Depression scenario occur almost two decades early, but was largely prevented by a meeting called by J. P. Morgan with top US bank financiers, industrialists, investors, stock brokers to buy out most of the outstanding debt circulating at the Panics onset).

Ive often wondered if the Great Depression maybe ends sooner if FDR had adopted a more Keynesian economic recovery plan(FDR actually was very skeptical of Keynes' ideas) instead of mass public infrastructural projects plans, which put people back to work but in terms of sharply lowering the high levels of unemployment and deep, painful decline in standards of living, it wasn't until the start of WWII that the last, visible vestiges of the Great Depression disappeared.

Trust me, if you manage to piss them off too much and persist in it with a certain relish, don't underestimate GOP lawmakers to stall, obstruct, or block bills just for spite to go into overdrive and theyll try and frame Harris "bulldog" pressure tactics as trying to forcibly push legislation into votes without any input or collaboration. Democrats aren't as keen or willing to engage in ruthless, cutthroat political discussions because they know ultimately it runs the risk of knee-capping some in your own party, making or deciding on borderline unethical/amoral decisions that will receive blowback from moderates or progressives and leaving a smoldering, charred political environment in your wake. You collectively have to decide how far and how extreme, sadly, you're willing to go in using the GOP own playbook against them because it might wear off on some of them and lead to being discredited.

Believe me, if you've read Mitch McConnell's speech yesterday when he warned that if Democrats tried to get rid of the Filibuster, then there will be a "scorched-earth" policy where the current levels of GOP obstructionism will seem trivial by comparison, if GOP even regain control of the House or Senate in 2022 midterms, they'll push to defund Planned Parenthood, fine or sanction major US "sanctuary" cities, promote legislation to overturn the ACA, and Dems will be allowed zero input in these discussions. And if House or Senate Democrats scream bloody murder, they'll just point out the good, advantageous job they did helping them out in the first place by eliminating the Filibuster. President Biden's position on reforming the filibuster is a very practical, pragmatic one because he realizes all too well how hyper-partisan ship will into overdrive if its removed even for vindictive purposes and he believes McConnell when he makes these sorts of dire warnings.

And frankly, you should too, Blue. If not, you'd better hope that Democrats maintain control of both Houses if they indeed do decide to pursue a policy of eliminating the filibuster. Any perceivable short-term political gains runs a huge risk of being far outweighed by the manufactured legislative chaos caused by eliminating the filibuster rule.

One day books will be written on the elder abuse of this entire situation.

In fairness, AOC has come out against the current situation as well, but not as strong as she did before. I don't know how to link Tweets, but on Feb. 23rd she Tweeted:

" This is not okay, never has been okay, never will be okay - no matter the administration or party. "

I don't know about going down there again and I don't follow her closely enough to know exactly what she's doing. Every now and then I do a Google Image Search on her and that's about it. :ROFLMAO:

It probably wasn't a good idea for Biden to say during the campaign that the people wanting to get into the country should surge to the border when he's president.

So, you do realize there is a difference between “illegal immigrants” and “asylum seekers”, right?

You should probably give this guy the same treatment I gave Rupar, to be honest. Same type of deal.
