Figured we should start a separate thread on the arrests and those involved in the storming of the Capitol. I know it has been talked about in the other thread a lot, but for the ones who just want to follow the ones arrested and/or charged, this will be an easier way to see updates on the investigations.

Link below is everyone who has been arrested. But we know there will be more.

The website seems to be updated with new information daily.

The ones who are getting the most air time:

Have either of these jurisdictions filed charges yet, or even enpaneled grand juries ? I mean.. if it's that clear cut, why are they waiting ?
I believe I read a Yahoo article yesterday stating that the Ga. political subversion case and voter suppression case are moving into the Grand Jury selection phase.

I'll try and find the article and post a link to on here later.

The article in question is a few days old and was originally posted from a ABC News affiliate.

Im pretty sure I heard that Fulton County has also retained services of a firm specializing in racketeering charges.
They certainly have. Supposedly the go-to firm for racketeering investigations hired by jurisdictions all over the country according to an article I read.

House impeachment manager, Rep. Stacey Plaskett (D-USVI), presents new video during the second impeachment trial of Donald Trump that shows rioters' desire to find and attack House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
The ones who say Pelosi was over reacting saying she felt her life was in danger won't admit that these people meant nothing but harm to her (and any other members of congress they would have run into).

That's interesting. How can Trumps actions in Georgia be described as 'Racketeering' ? Obviously the Georgia AG thinks it can ? Perhaps the word is used differently in the USA than in the UK ?

The standard definition of racketeering centres around illegal business activities. I'm struggling to see how that applies to Trumps attempts to get Georgia to review its voting ?

Well, no doubt all will be revealed in time. But here's my prediction: either the case will be quietly dropped or - if it goes to trial - it will result in a 'not guilty' verdict, or even a dismissal.

    We'll see how this goes
    ======================

A Midland, Texas, florist accused of participating in the Capitol riot has asked for her case to be moved out of D.C., saying the potential jury pool in the city is “tainted” by coverage of the January 6 insurrection.

Jenny Cudd, along with her co-defendant Eliel Rosa, faces charges of obstruction of an official proceeding, entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds and disorderly conduct in a restricted building, among other counts.

Cudd, a one-time mayoral candidate, was photographed wearing a Donald Trump for President flag like a cape while joining in a mob that entered the Capitol rotunda during a joint session of Congress on January 6.

In an interview with WUSA9’s sister station NewsWest 9 two days after the riot, Cudd again said that “we the patriots did storm the U.S. Capitol” and that, “Yes, I would absolutely do it again.”

On Wednesday, Cudd’s lawyer filed a motion asking for a change of venue to Texas, saying the jury that would hear the case would be the “most politically prejudiced jury in the entire country” and claiming there is a concerted effort to “cancel” people for being “politically conservative and for their public support of Donald Trump.”...............

Capitol riot suspect says DC hates conservatives and Trump supporters too much to give her a fair trial (msn.com)

Picking a jury in DC is going to be tough, but I think it's doable. That said, I'm not so sure changing venue should be in the cards.

Regardless, that idiot needs time in a jail cell. She made a decision to participate in an insurrection and she knew what she was doing. There has to be real consequences to her actions.

Her smugness alone should be a crime. I mean how would she take it if someone broke into her office and stole things and then bragged about it online? I bet she wouldn’t think it all that cute or funny as she obviously thinks she is.
