If Trump had had a dog in his time in the White House you know what would have not made any sense to me for Democrats to attack?

    The freakiing dog!

    Lol Jesus man..
What about attacking not wanting to own a dog? LOL

The dog is famously man's best friend—but it is not this president's.

Not only is President Donald Trump the first White House resident in generations to not have a first pooch, but the very word "dog" is the root of so many of the Tweeter in Chief's favorite insults.

"Couldn't get elected dog catcher in Tennessee" the president said of arch-rival Republican Senator Bob Corker. He used the exact same term to describe former New York Governor George Pataki and former New Hampshire Governor John Sununu in 2015.

I feel pretty certain that the dog would have been attacked as much has him not having a dog.

Articles get silly, don’t they? You have to fill up content somehow. I guess. 🤷‍♀️

Neither the article nor the Newsmax clip were really that bad LOL.. but come on man at least get that dog his due, those political dog years will age you and I'd say he looks no worse than Grassley or Feinstein!

If Trump had a dog, poor dog would be scarred for life...well maybe not as the dog would never see him anyway.
I think that with Trump's obvious deficiency in his ability to empathize, he likely sees no reason to have a dog. There's a level of selflessness in having a pet and taking care of it and I'm sure even though he wouldn't actually be the one taking care of it anyway he's narcissistic enough to want there to not be a dog at home to shift attention away from him.

The child migrant facility at the center of protests and controversy over the summer of 2019 has become the first child-holding facility to open under the Biden administration.

“It’s unnecessary, it’s costly, and it goes absolutely against everything [President] Biden promised he was going to do,” said Linda Brandmiller, a Texas immigration lawyer for unaccompanied children. “It’s a step backward, is what it is. It’s a huge step backward.”

Dozens of migrant teenagers were bused to the facility Monday as permanent holding facilities struggled with lower capacity limits during the coronavirus pandemic and a wave of new cases of unaccompanied children attempting to cross the border.

But while the Carrizo Springs temporary facility opened with little controversy this time, the same site was the stage for protests against former President Donald Trump’s immigration policies when it opened in the summer of 2019.

What an evil decrepit old man. I thought we finally moved past our blood lust of putting kids in cages. I guess not.

I know you're just being flip.. but I don't see where they're separating all children from parents as a policy which is a major difference from the controversy under Trump.. and frankly you have to do something with them (you won't find a post from me complaining about the Trump administration or any other confining immigrants illegally entering the country).

Come on Farb. It's not kids in cages. It's unaccompanied migrant children in overflow facilities. 😒

So, isn’t it a bit hypocritical to pretend there’s no difference between creating housing for unaccompanied minors who are apprehended after crossing the border, and a policy that had as its goal the separation of children from their parents after being apprehended?

Check that, it’s not a little bit hypocritical, it’s a whole lot of hypocritical. Like a bushel’s worth at least.

It’s the same people that run private prisons in charge of these. The cost of $775/day/kid is a fleecing. This isn’t a family separation policy causing this. It’s unaccompanied teens. That’s not the same as what Trump was doing.

Just sign a safe 3rd country agreement with Mexico and let’s stop dealing with this issue.

My post was tongue in cheek, but Biden did continue some(but not all) of Trump’s immigration policies despite claiming otherwise before the election.

I will admit, the media/Biden's press team are good. Kids in containers sounds like a comedy troop from Canada. Not menacingly evil at all! LOL

But yeah, the difference in coverage and outrage really speaks volumes to those that will actually admit it and not just hunker down in their tribes talking points.

Is the Biden administration continuing the policy of separating all children from their parents when they illegally cross the border? Genuine question.

My understanding was the Trump administration changed the policy of only separating kids who were believed to be travelling without family members to a policy of separating all children from the adults they were travelling with, which caused an overflow of facilities and overwhelming our systems which caused numerous other problems.

    Is that policy continuing?

No, it isn’t. I posted about it when he ended the zero tolerance policy. It was one of the first things he did.

I would assume/hope they are since that is based on the Flores decision. That decision has been followed by every administration since Clinton.

? I think we're talking about different things here, or different aspects of it unless I'm misunderstanding something.

You know why people like animal shelters but hate puppy mills? Because one houses dogs that were abused until they can find a family, and one actually does the abusing an rips the young ones away from their parents. Meanwhile, both are just "dogs in cages" so I guess they are the same thing.
