This election nonsense by Trump may end up splitting up the Republican Party. I just don’t see how the one third (?) who are principled conservatives can stay in the same party with Trump sycophants who are willing to sign onto the TX Supreme Court case.

We also saw the alt right types chanting “destroy the GOP” in Washington today because they didn’t keep Trump in power. I think the Q types will also hold the same ill will toward the traditional Republican Party. In fact its quite possible that all the voters who are really in a Trump personality cult will also blame the GOP for his loss. It’s only a matter of time IMO before Trump himself gets around to blaming the GOP.

There is some discussion of this on Twitter. What do you all think?

    AOC with the major burn.

    Here's how:

You know, House Dems should just start trolling the :poop: outta her! They should just start circulating Pizza party invitations, eating their lunch from tupperware with Filet Jon Bonnet labeled all over it and have IV stations set up in their offices filled with fake blood.

It's kind of a dangerous game, but some of these Q-gress types are so far gone you could goad them into a complete, public psychotic break.

She annihilated Cruz earlier as well...

I understand what Joe is trying to do by insisting on working with the other side, but they have less than zero interest in doing so. Instead, they are all about gaining power, by any means necessary, they will continue to gaslight the nation and if blood is to be spilled, so be it.

Biden must realize this by now and the only way he will get his utopian wish is with photo ops with the 5 or so Romney and Cheney types if they have the courage to continue to speak out against the stupid, other than that, Biden needs to "ram down their throat" any and all future legislation.

It's telling they constantly try to attack her intellect. She graduated Cum Laude from BC. Trump probably wouldn't have been admitted to a community college without his father's money.
I was actually surprised MTG actually went to college, let alone graduated. I wonder what her grades were..haha.

I think Biden is genuinely naive and thinks he's working with the Republicans of the 80's and early 90's. He was out of the Senate from 2008 on when the real radicalization of the party happened. The hard turn right happened with Palin's celebrity status, but she was a result of the previous slippery slope of 96 - 2007. Biden wasn't there to watch the Republicans in Congress's rapid decline from governing party to kook conspiracy cult.

I think Obama was the same way - filled with a Mr. Smith Goes to Washington optimism and naivete and he was going to usher in a new wonderland of bipartisanship

Biden witnessed how misguided that was and how the GOP refused to work with Obama on anything, blocked everything they could

You're right, the GOP is even worse now than it was when Biden was VP but he shouldn't be totally blind to the situation

I don't think Biden is blind to it. But, I do think he wants to build a coalition with the few remaining sane Republicans. He knows he's not going to make much headway with the Hawleys and Cruzs of Congress. Unity is a worthy goal if you're working with people who want the same. There are some Republicans who are working to that end, but they're far and few between, and for the most part don't have much pull with Republican leadership.

Nah, he's being who he is. And he knows he has a very willing Senate who will use Budget reconciliation to get the stuff that Americans actually want.

Republicans can get on board, and help push this bill and have a say in some of the items (i.e. they'll do their best to kill the min wage increase). Or, they can watch the Democrats reconcile $1.9Trillion in aid by taxing the living shirt out of the wealthy, estates, and corporations. Because, as far as I know, they have to make it budget neutral, or at least by 'estimates', which can likely be manipulated.

He's got Bernie Sanders to tell them to go to hell, while Biden smiles and wishes them well on the journey.

Here's hoping that's the route he takes instead of Obama's. For all Obama's ignored attempts at bipartisanship, the Republicans successfully labeled him a partisan hack that forced his radical socialist agenda upon us all. They also, easily, convinced their voters that Obama started a war in Syria despite the fact that he went to congress and asked them to vote on what actions we should take and they refuse to even hold a hearing on the subject.
