    The football board had the very useful Daily Trump Tracker thread, which was a good place to briefly discuss the latest ridiculous thing that might have ended 97% of prior Presidential administrations even if it didn't necessarily justify an entire thread devoted to it in 2017-2019 (because of the sheer volume of these things). Since I don't see anything like that here already, I'll add one myself.
     
    It was incredible to listen to talk radio in NOLA today with the people bending themselves into pretzels to defend trump's debate performance and defending him against being called a racist and white supremacist supportor

    Just when I thought I had heard everything, Senator Cassidy, a so-called doctor, came on the radio and actually said that he was immune to Covid-19 because he's had it.

    I know the CEO of a system of clinics that Cassidy serves as a collaborator for their nurse practitioners. She is as conservative as they come (from East Feliciana parish). You ought to hear how much she's trashed him on medical issues he's done, especially since COVID.

    Just this morning I saw a report that he had urged them to get a deal done. He’s ridiculous.

    Damn it, I just looked at my stocks and was happy.

    So, I guess he wants the airlines to furlough tens of thousands of people.

    We were seemingly at the 1 yard line toward a deal. Trump just blows it up.

    it all boils down to one thing....leverage. He had very little. This move just left him with no leverage. No bargaining power.

    ahhh i read the piece.

    He knows his campaign is in real trouble. So this is the "carrot on a stick" for voters. And he thinks THAT will garner him more support.

    IM LOLOLOLOL.
     
    I think he also just helped out Democrats in close Senate races. A Dem House/Senate/President can get a deal done in about 15 minutes. It may not be the best deal, but with layoffs happening and the economy struggling I think most voters just want something to get done.
