George Conway is also leaving Lincoln Project. Their 15 year old daughter has been getting more and more public on social media about her mother and their home life. Yesterday she tweeted that she had filed for emancipation.

For them both to step out the next day, I think it’s clearly about trying to save their family. I wish them good luck, I imagine they agreed at some point that they wouldn’t lose their family over this business. Its quite a bed they made.

I wasn’t aware of problems with their daughter. Taking time for your family has been an often used excuse for politicians when they did something wrong.
This seems legit.

This was from this morning about yesterday. Today both Conways leave their jobs.

That was my exact read on this.

I read their daughter’s tweets with some trepidation, she was clearly asking for help, imo. I’m so glad they are both leaving to try to help out their family.

This was a good opportunity to cull my follow list on Twitter. Any celebration of either Conway leaving their respective positions, and “unfollow”. I find this sort of thing helps a great deal to keep your Twitter feed at least bearable.

Yeah the feud between both sides has to come home with them.

The other one is I can't imagine being a 15 year old and how rough it must be when they are your parents.

Yeah. Claudia had definitely started gaining some attention that they didn't want her to have. At one point, they took her phone and made her suspend her Twitter and Instagram accounts.

She obviously have some issues with her parents that I'm happy they are going to focus on fixing. Some of it is fixable; some isn't, as they are of different political spectrums that I don't see changing. But it's good to see they are going to focus on fixing what they can.

I wish them the best.

This is what chaps my arse the most about this. We're paying inflated rates at his properties where he's forcing everyone on these trips to stay. How isn't this the most blatant violation of the emoluments clause?

Four teams of lawyers, including the State Department legal counsel, have reviewed the speech that will be recorded in Jerusalem and broadcast in prime time at the Republican convention on Tuesday to ensure that it does not cross ethical lines, according to a person close to Pompeo who was not authorized to discuss the matter publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.

That person and the State Department said no taxpayer money will be used in the production of the video, which will be filmed on the first stop of Pompeo’s current multination trip to the Middle East that is otherwise clearly dominated by official government business.

“Looking forward to sharing with you how my family is more SAFE and more SECURE because of President Trump," Pompeo tweeted after the RNC announced his appearance. The State Department followed quickly with comments distancing the agency from the planned remarks..................
