“All United States Marshals Service arrestees have public records of arrest documenting their charges. Our agency did not arrest or detain Mark James Pettibone.”

OPB sent DHS an extensive list of questions about Pettibone’s arrest including: What is the legal justification for making arrests away from federal property? What is the legal justification for searching people who are not participating in criminal activity? Why are federal officers using civilian vehicles and taking people away in them? Are the arrests federal officers make legal under the constitution? If so, how?

After 7 p.m. Thursday, a DHS spokesperson responded, on background, that they could confirm Wolf was in Portland during the day. The spokesperson didn’t acknowledge the remaining questions.

    This story is very troublesome.

There have been several videos being circulate as new but are from weeks ago

Yesterday there were attempts to take fences taken down at one side of the building and some trash can were set on fire

Those videos were before the feds showed up. It was the early days of the protests when there was virulence across the country. We just haven’t stopped protesting for now 57 days. They HAD gotten down to like 50 - 100 people until the feds came in and now they are up over 3k last night. Monday is a large rally and they are expecting over 10,000

Does anyone know why they are trying to burn down the federal building? What is the goal?

Doesn't seem like that's a thing they are actively trying to do right now. Any thoughts on federal officers trampling on the Constitution as they charge headlong to incite violence with w group of peacefully protesting moms?

I have given my opinion on the 'mom wall' in this thread.
They incited violence? Guess they just got bored because nothing was going so they hired rioters to throw things and try and make them die by fire so they can have some fun.
It's really simple. Protest, dont destroy stuff and dont bother folks doing their day. Dont try and destroy federal property, that we all pay for and you wont have to worry about federal agents stopping in for a visit and chat.

I'll go ahead and refer you back to post #158 by CoolBrees, in which he states that the moms were targeted for this violence by the feds despite doing nothing to warrant the response.

What do you think of the feds specifically targeting these moms for violence when they were peacefully protesting?

They're also targeting Christians. Feeding the poor and needy is a Christ-like thing, no?

Man that is just about a shirtty as it can get.

If people don't see how this is a huge problem for our democracy they are just brain dead.

So my wife got home at 4am from the protests. Apparently last night they specifically targeted the moms and shot rubber bullets at them and launched the tear gas from close ranges to injure with the canisters. They were not near the protesters at this point because they came out earlier, like 11. She was fired at with rubber bullets and was surrounded by over 15 officers at one point because she stopped to help someone who fell. If I can figure out how to post from the texts she sent me, I will embed video she shot.

she also has video of an individual being grabbed thrown down, cuffed and arrested with no rights being read or no verbal queue as to why he was being arrested. He was just walking and he was grabbed. She doesn’t have video of he aftermath but she said He was taken in a van into the federal building.

I asked if there was any evidence they were following the judge’s restraining order and she just laughed.

finally I told her that I hadposted her pic from Democracy Now and she yelled at me that this isn’t about her or the moms that they need to be talking to and photographing the BLM coalition not white moms. To that point she said that the WoM has now made a women of color the spokesperson and women of color are the only ones being offered for interviews. I said that was a great reminder and I would pass that on as well

I will refer you to post #98. I already stated what I think about it. You can go check it out yourself instead of asking me the same question in a different way several times.

    Post 98:

I will even concede the point that maybe the police did break the law for this point. (I don't believe they did and think its laughable)
If those behind the wall break the law, what then? You signed up to be a wall, to literally place yourself between two groups that might break the law. What do you think will happen? Because your a 'mom' or a woman you get some special treatment. Nope, you get the gas, baton, frozen water bottles to the back of head, rocks ect.... you signed up to be a wall.

CB's post specifically said that the moms were targeted with no other protesters nearby. Your post specifically asks the question, "If those behind the wall break the law, what then?" This does not apply to CB's post. The moms were separated from other protesters when they were hit with tear gas and rubber bullets at close range. What are your thoughts on this situation, which is- again- different from your hypothetical?

So last night she got home early, like am. Things are getting scary-

At about 11pm a woman trump supporter wielded a machete after coming screaming up the wrong way on a one way street in her huge SUV at the moms - and instead of being arrested she was given water and a mask by the feds.

then at 230 a man dressed in all brown robes took a large package out of his backpack and placed it in front of the moms and began praying to Jesus for salvation. With no authority around to help the protesters had to deal with it themselves. The man was tackled by an Antifa kid and another put himself on top of the package. It was empty but apparently these America hating Antifa kids care enough to risk their own lives to save others.

Apparently the feds didn’t come out in force out of their building, just small tactical teams that didn’t even interact with the protesters until 230 and then it was SOP of gassing, concussion grenades, and rubber bullets

the organizers are afraid they are planning an offensive for Monday when now they are expecting up to 50,000..... there were 10,000 last night and more tonight

Man hope all of you stay safe.

This is the important fight. It is the very beginning of real change.

Nope. It is about the same to me.
To be completely honest, I have never been to a political rally, protest or anything like that and I never see myself going to one minus a voting booth. I know it is all the rage to be an activist right now, but I have in the past and still to this day, view activists as having a screw loose so I will probably believe the LE's 99% of time over virtue signaling WWL. To me, they are about equal to the grown women that go to Disney World/Land and where bright tutus and matching shirts and socks to draw attention to themselves.
    Any other questions?

That is disappointing Farb. That you would be so closed minded that you think they are out there for popularity. These are your countrymen and women not enemies. My wife has a master’s in Social Work and she was downtown last night with Amy, who was an animation producer for the Shrek films. The leader of the wall of moms is 65, and her kids are grown. She is a retired art teacher from the University of Oregon and a PhD.

I also said I would attach video. I am going to try now but if someone with internet skills (ie under 35) help me I will post what a protest looks like.
