Figured we should start a separate thread on the arrests and those involved in the storming of the Capitol. I know it has been talked about in the other thread a lot, but for the ones who just want to follow the ones arrested and/or charged, this will be an easier way to see updates on the investigations.

Link below is everyone who has been arrested. But we know there will be more.

The website seems to be updated with new information daily.

The ones who are getting the most air time:

Poor Roof, he tries to defend these guys as insurrectionists, but they keep letting him down....
Groups like the Oath Keepers planned this and used the idiots that were all worked up as their pawns. But a pawn is still responsible for his own actions .. The "i didn't know" defense isn't gonna help them.

another arrest of someone who is still proud of that day

Capitol rioter Michael Timbrook was arrested by the FBI on Tuesday morning after he shared a Facebook post saying that he feels "no remorse or guilt."

Timbrook, 56, of Cookeville, Tennessee, was charged with one count of knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority and one count of violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, according to the Department of Justice. He faces up to one and a half years in prison if found guilty....

In another, he said, "Sorry friends and family, but I guess all y'all hate me now. I've been admonished, criticized, judged and condemned, for what I consider to be an act of patriotism, by the entire news media, celebrity class, political class, religious groups, hell everybody with a social media has weighed in and found us Guilty of violating the Sanctity of a public building."

"I'm PROUD of everyone who went in there, even the 30 or so rowdy ones. Go ahead and ban me now because I have found my voice and am going to tell this story," Timbrook added, according to Law and Crime.............

My girlfriend is a huge True Crime TV show fan. I'll watch them with her sometimes

It's amazing how many people are caught just because they couldn't keep their mouth shut

The Justice Department has charged a Capitol rioter who was turned in by someone he matched with on the dating app Bumble, after he bragged about his exploits on January 6.

According to court documents, one week after the attack, Robert Chapman of New York told one of his Bumble matches that "I did storm the Capitol" and said that he "made it all the way into Statuary Hall." He also claimed that he was interviewed by members of the media.

The other Bumble user replied, "we are not a match."

Prosecutors said the user then quickly reached out to the FBI and provided screenshots of the conversation.

Investigators said in court filings that they corroborated Chapman's claims by comparing his Bumble profile picture to body camera footage from police officers who were inside the Capitol...............

A woman who allegedly stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6 says she was inspired to wear a mesh mask - possibly in violation of a court order requiring her to wear a face mask while awaiting trial - by singer Lana Del Rey.

In a Monday filing with the U.S. District Court, Rachel Powell's attorney said his client had "seen stories about a singer, Lana Del Rey, who fashioned a clear plastic barrier under a see-through fabric for a public book signing event."

Earlier this month, U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth said that Powell had to explain why she was seen on video and in a still image sporting a mesh mask, a move he said mocked an earlier ruling requiring her to "wear a mask whenever she leaves her residence."

Powell - who faces a number of charges related to her alleged participation in the Capitol riot that unsuccessfully sought to halt Congress's certification of President Biden's Electoral College victory - has reportedly been a vocal opponent of mask-wearing.

Powell's attorney said while wearing the mesh mask was "clearly unwise," the "creation and use of the mask at issue was not designed to mock the court or its release condition." A photo of both Powell's mask, and the one Del Rey wore, was included in the filing..............

Judges LOVE it when you don't follow their rulings, or mock them (not sure she was actively mocking the court, but my guess is the court won't care, and still make a harsh point).

I saw an article in passing that said she was writing an apology to the court for wearing a mesh mask. Didn’t stop to read the article, but remember thinking she’s just not very smart.

About the guy who had his feet on Pelosi's desk
    ================================

The Justice Department is in plea negotiations with a Capitol rioter accused of breaking into Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s office on January 6.

In a bond review hearing Tuesday afternoon, a federal prosecutor said the DOJ was in plea talks with Richard Barnett, the Arkansas man photographed with his feet up on Pelosi’s desk during the Capitol riot. The Justice Department said no formal offer had been made yet.

Barnett is accused of breaking into Pelosi’s office with a stun gun – which he claims was deactivated at the time – and leaving a note that read, “Hey Nancy, Bigo was here b*atch.” “Bigo” is Barnett’s “preferred nickname,” according to charging documents.

Barnett, who has been in custody for four months, has been vocal about his displeasure at being locked up. In a courtroom outburst in March, Barnett lashed out at the judge, prosecution and his own defense team, saying the judge was making him “sit here for another month when everyone else is getting out. Prosecution keeps dragging this out. Everyone else has worse charges than me [and] is already home.”...........

Oh boo freaking hoo. He's a bigger baby than his idol.

Except for the protester they shot dead ?

When did a domestic terrorist engaged in armed insurrection and likely treason become a protestor?

You know, when you go from protesting in the streets to breaking in the doors of the heart of our nation's government, you go from protestor to dead like a Tesla on Ludicrous mode.
