    Ok the rules:
    • Your post can only contain one department and guess.
    • You may post more than once for different departments.
    • Post can contain comments about previous guesses.
    • Guesses for one department can be used for other departments.
    • Minds can, of course, be changed.
I will kick things off first...

    Secretary of State: Susan Rice

This is as clear a choice as there can be. She has all of the credentials and rep to begin healing as relationships with our allies.

Kasich won’t join the administration. He wants to run in 2024 and being in a Biden administration would kill his campaign before it began.
Even without serving in the Biden administration Kasich has no chance of winning the Republican nomination when Trump nearly won reelection and got record-breaking amounts of votes despite four years of insanity and bungling the pandemic. When Kasich endorsed Biden he had to realize he took a significant blow to his chances of ever winning elected office again. That's not to say I wouldn't want to see someone like Kasich or Romney win the nomination but the best you can hope for in 2024 is someone like Liz Cheney. And just hope it's not Trump again or Ivanka or one of the rank-and-file GOP who fully endorsed Trump. Even if a moderate Republican won the primary I would expect Trump or a Trumpublican candidate to run third-party and stand a good chance of winning.

I really, really hope Trump goes third party. That would be a best case scenario to me.

I haven't put too much thought into how that would play out. You'd assume that it would give Democrats a huge advantage thinking the Republican vote would be split but... who knows... maybe the vast majority of Republicans would still back Trump versus whatever rank-and-file GOP candidate wins the nomination. Of course, Trump doesn't care two cents about the GOP and would run third-party (or push Don Jr./Ivanka by proxy) as a marketing/publicity stunt.

I want someone who looks like this running the Department of the Interior

In Arizona, the Navajo Nation showed overwhelming support for Joe Biden. Apache, Navajo, and Coconino counties—all of which overlap with the Navajo Nation—gave 97% support to Biden (73,954 votes) compared with just 3% (2,010 votes) for President Donald Trump, according to the Navajo Times.”

NA’s are getting registered and becoming a force in states. They are organizing and will swing elections. Biden needs to hold onto this group.

I love me some Katie Porter, but not sure where she might could go to do even more good. Just from every video I've seen of her, she is highly intelligent and likes to "school" people in higher positions of power

A lot of people are pushing Cedric Richmond's to join the administration. I wasn't always a fan of Cedric, but after speaking with him a few times, gained a lot of respect. I could see him being CoS if not a cabinet secretary.

    Stacey Abrams as HHS Sec.

Abrams does more good as head of the DNC. As far as I'm concerned the organization she has in GA could just be expanded nationwide. She deserves a lot of praise, but she also the only person to register new voters in 2020. The DNC should always be fighting to register new voters, and expand voting rights. That isn't happening under Tom Perez.

For everyone talking about putting Republicans in the cabinet. I have one simple question. Why? The Lincoln Project, and never trump Republicans completely, and utterly failed. Trump captured more of the Republican vote this election then in 2016. The only group that did anything was the McCain never Trumpers, but I believe 90% of Republicans still voted for Trump in that state. These "good republicans" did nothing about voter suppression, union busting, or single payer healthcare. These guys can twist in the wind. Democrats gain nothing by bringing one of these "centrist" on board. The fact a 15 dollar minimum wage did better then Trump, or Biden IN FLORIDA should kill the myth that progressive ideas can't win in the general.

There will be no progressives in the cabinet, but there is more upside to having them in the cabinet versus a Republican.

[MOD EDIT: I will keep this post up as is, but let's not get into an argument about the Lincoln Project. Let's focus on the point made, which is that there isn't a strong need to reward any Republicans with a cabinet post for what is arguably no real net effect]
